🪻Easy Alternative Lavender Earl Gray Tea Recipe!☕️
💜Because I’ve been drinking lots of tea and avoiding caffeine during my pregnancy, I recently developed a simple and delicious alternative recipe to one of my most favorite tea blends: Lavender Earl Gray!
🌿WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
64oz glass jar
64oz hot water6oz Dried Red Raspberry Leaf15oz Dried Lavender Flower15oz Licorice Root
🫖WHAT YOU’LL DO:
•Add herbs to the jar
•Fill jar with hot water to the tippy top
•Cover with lid and infuse for 24 hours
•Strain liquid from herbs
•Add optional milk of choice
•Enjoy warm or chilled
☕️I love this recipe because it’s delicious, refreshing, and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Also, there is no Bergamot essential oil added nor the mysterious “natural flavoring” ingredient often seen with commercial varieties. Even though Bergamot is the primary ingredient in what makes Earl Gray tea an Earl Gray tea, the Red Raspberry Leaf, Lavender and Licorice Root makes it work just fine without it. I also want to point out that the Licorice Root doesn’t taste anything like the candy - it’s actually mildly sweet and a little earthy. But if you find the brew is too strong for your taste, simply add some extra water to dilute it.
💜I personally enjoy this infusion chilled as-is, but if I’m feeling extra I’ll turn it into an iced herbal latte by adding a splash of organic half-and-half with a sprinkle of lavender flowers on top. I’d love to know if you’ve tried this recipe and of any modifications you’ve made! Also, let me know if you’re interested in having me make this a new offering as part of the regular shop collection! Enjoy!
