Hi friends 🌞
Wishing you all a beautiful day! I wanted to share a little piece of my heart and an update from this past Sunday—Easter Sunday.
I spent the afternoon doing what fills my soul: walking in peace and service. As a minister of God's love, I joined my daughter and son-in-love in Phoenix, AZ to visit with those experiencing poverty, despair, pain, sadness, loss, some experiencing physical, emotional, sexual trauma, trafficking, addictions and mental illness. We brought with us what we could—love, hope, kindness, peace, and non-judgment—and in return, we were met with the warmest, most gracious welcome.
In my 30+ years of serving people living in the harshest conditions, I continue to be moved by the overwhelming gratitude and grace we receive in return. On Easter, we were offered blessings and words that touched our hearts. One man reminded us that we were the living embodiment of Christ’s promise—Easter in action. That moment will stay with me forever.
Sometimes, the smallest gifts—a new toothbrush, a fresh tank top, a book, a bar of soap, a pair of rosary beads, some flip-flops, or a set of readers—are truly priceless in the eyes of those who receive them.
Those who have the least often carry the deepest wisdom, and their gratitude shines with pure, heartfelt authenticity.
Prayers, support, and good vibes are always welcomed for all involved—those we serve and those who serve alongside us. 🙏❤️
With love and gratitude,
Christine ✨
