We are at CHOP for EJ to get labs after the changed his meds up earlier this week. It was a great experience (minus the needle part) as usual.

However we were also here last night for Kyleigh to get an MRI. In the 12 years I have been coming to CHOP this was the worst experience I have ever had. We arrived at 635pm for a 7pm appointment. I checked in on my phone at 637. And checked in with the desk at 645. 2 families came after us and went back. I figured they had a different radiology procedure. At 750, the person at the desk (a different person. Those people went home) asked if we were here because we were never. Checked. in!

We left. We will reschedule her MRI for a morning appointment because that is just not acceptable. At all!

EJs big brother Jaysen started his first day of junior year today! (I didn't get any pics because he is a grumpy teen) But hopefully he has a great first day!

EJ and Ky each received their own package full of mini melts for being the weather kid last month! We of course shared with our friends!

Every year we go on a mini trip on the anniversary of EJs transplant in March. We try and turn that day into a positive memory! We leave the same day we left for the hospital and wake up somewhere awesome the day of his transplantiversary. Then we usually leave the next day.

We did an Air BNB last year that was a castle and I liked it so we could have a nice dinner and just do our own thing.

Does anyone know of any AirBNBs in Jersey / PA / De / etc that are geared towards kids or families that are not super expensive?

EJ and his brother Jaysen safely made it to Camp Kydnie this afternoon. Kyleigh unfortunately had to sit this one out as she is still on the mend but there is always next year!
This momma had a panic attack on the way but I know they are in good hands and will have tons of fun!
