✨ NOURISHED THROUGH NATURE SPA TURNED FIVE OVER THE WEEKEND!!✨

Five years ago, I took a leap of faith and opened the doors to a little spa with a BIG dream—to create a space where people could slow down, breathe deeply, and feel truly cared for.

Since then, this little lakeside spa has welcomed in hundreds of incredible clients. We’ve celebrated milestones together, held space through hard seasons, shared laughs, happy tears, glowing skin, and so many meaningful conversations.

To every client who has trusted me with your time, your skin, your wellness, and your heart… thank you!!! You are the reason Nourished Through Nature has become so much more than a spa. You’ve helped build a community that I’ll never take for granted. (Oh hey, Nourished Girl Get Togethers ME wellness meet ups to walk, talk & everything in between!)

Owning a small business has stretched me, humbled me, and changed me in ways I never expected. It hasn’t always been easy, but I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.

Here’s to five beautiful years of nourishing ourselves through nature—and to many more to come.

🏔️💫🌲🌎I’m heading to Banff Canada & a bunch of other heavy hitter nature~y spots (Jasper, Glacier, Vancouver, Badlands, Grand Teton, Glacier National park, Olympic National Park, North Cascades etc) in CA/US for about a month and a half. (EEEKKK!!!)

There are lots of new followers lately, so it’s about time for an introduction!

F a c t s you might not know about me:
— 35. Virgo. Vata/kapha dosha

— I was a preemie baby! I was born 4 months early, a ~supposed to be~ christmas baby born on 8/25. I’m a summer baby through & through lol. I weighed 1lb 6oz, dropped to 14oz & was in the NICU for 3 months before going home. Just wild.

— spa services here are l a k e s i d e from my home in Shapleigh. My husband & I bought this house in 2019 and we’ve poured so much love into it, inside and out. It’s our oasis tucked along the water & in the woods 🌊🌲holistic facials • lashes • brows • craniosacral therapy • hot stone treatments • massage & more

— workouts: mat or reformer pilates, yoga, walking, kayaking & strength training! Bonus if the class is heated 😉

– spa style: a results-driven approach (hellooo… acne, texture & pigmentation support, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage & massage for clear skin) meets a somatic/mind body approach. This is designed to tailor to individualized skin needs paired with deep healing, grounding & rejuvenation. There’s no need to choose here, you can have it alll.

— education: I have a BS in health sciences, multiple certifications(clinical use of aromatherapy, nutrition, herbaIism & herbal medicine, craniosacral therapy),& went back to school for esthetics at 30. It’s been a spiral, but I am honestly so thankful, as it molded me into the professional I am able to be today. I am going to be showing my age here, but it’s creeping up on TWO DECADES of education (ok, what, how?!)

— travel: After going to Switzerland & Italy for 3 weeks for our honeymoon—travel bug activated lol. Some fav places so far: Perdido key,Miami,Belize,Caye Caulker,Madeira,Lake Tahoe,Zion,Death Valley,Utah,Colorado,Campobello,Yosemite. Up next: Banff Canada (!!), Washington, Montana & a bunch of other places next month! My hot take: book the trip, babe. ✈️🌄🌊✨🐚🏝️🌞

The FDA did something exciting for SUNSCREEN!!

After more than 20 years, the FDA APPROVED A NEW UV FILTER called bemotrizinol (BEMT)—an ingredient that’s been safely used in Europe and other countries for years. It offers excellent UVA + UVB protection, is incredibly photostable (meaning it doesn’t break down in the sun as easily), and has very low skin absorption. Basically… it’s a big win and step forward for sunscreen and its ingredient profile. As an esthetician, I geek out when skincare science keeps moving forward and raising the bar.

👀The catch?

The company DSM-Firmenich currently has 18 months of exclusive rights to use this new filter in the U.S. because they funded the approval process. That means you won’t see it in everyone’s sunscreen just yet… but once that exclusivity period is over, expect to see more and more brands adding it to their formulas!

This doesn’t mean your current sunscreen is “bad” (please keep wearing it 😅), but it does mean we’re finally catching up with sunscreen technology & with an ingredient that’s been available, used and loved in other parts of the world for years.

I absolutely love seeing skincare continue to evolve. Soon we’ll have even more sunscreen options for better protection, more elegant formulas, and hopefully more people actually wanting to wear SPF every day.

Now excuse me while I patiently wait to see which brands jump on this firsttttt (hey evanhealy | Organic Skin Care?)

I’ll be working right up until 8/13 and I’ll be heading out 8/15. Please be sure to book in ahead of time if you’re hoping to have spa treatments this summer!

I’ll be back ~October 1st. Spa appointments are just about full for October already — I’m a broken record but I’d highlyyy suggest booking in through the holidays/new year if you know you’d like spa services and need specific days/times!
