When I was younger, I thought confidence came from looking a certain way. Or reaching that one unattainable goal someday. THEN I would love myself…or so I thought! As I’m getting older and as I talk to people every day who are growing and learning in both age and experience, I’m finding something amazing…underneath the doubt and behind the apologies (I hear “sorry I look so bad today” often!) You don’t have to have it all together to be confident…you just have to find it in yourself to love who you are enough to share it with the world…because we all admire you more than you give yourself credit for!

I’m using my dog Spencer to show you something really important…he has lived such a long life. His health is declining, his body is starting to restrict him, and he is covered in warts and tumors. Can I see them? Of course! But when I look at my old dog snuggling by my feet, or guarding the bathroom while I get ready (don’t tell him that he’s not very threatening…I’ve let him feel protective for 17 years now 🤫) I don’t think of warts when I think of Spencer. And anyone who knows you or loves you doesn’t think of your flaws either. And flaws?? You’ve earned those, they are all part of your story ❤️ My approach to esthetics starts with learning how to love ourselves first, then figure out ways that we can make a great thing(you!!!) feel even better. Self care today makes a strong,healthy foundation for tomorrow, and that’s what I want to build with you ❤️

I spend my days helping people improve their skin. But sometimes I wish all of us could understand this…having something you want to improve doesn’t mean you are broken. Because not everything needs fixing and sometimes can’t even be fixed! Sometimes what you need is care. Care for yourself. Care for your skin. Care for your health. What ever it is that you see as broken approach it with care. Understand perfection is the enemy and give yourself grace above all ❤️

It’s always a bit humbling to go this raw in front of your own camera…but look at the progress! Today I woke up with some flaking. Yesterday and last night I was sooooooo tight and dry, I don’t like how it feels on my hands right now to touch my face. HOWEVER, this is part of the process and I’m seeing and feeling better skin emerging already!

We all for the most part have SOMETHING we don’t like about our own skin.

I ask you about this not because I want to rub salt in your wounds or bring what’s ugly into the light…no,no 😬 I ask you to tell me about the things your skin does, good AND bad, because you are unique and your skin has its own way of reacting to whatever you or I do to it.

I love trying to put together the puzzle that is individual skin care. It’s so fun to navigate your own body and the quirky ways it reacts not only to the environment, but also what you put on it and even in it.

We are complex beings, but together you and I will peel back the layers, see what will work for you, because when it starts to click, it’s a game-changer!

Why do you need to come see me so often?

Even though I LOVE seeing my clients and catching up with them, there is so much more to why I want to see you regularly.

If I’m only seeing you now and then, each time you come back, we have to spend time figuring out where you are at, and starting over with your treatment plan.

I’d rather see you once a month for a 25 minute appointment than every 6 months for a 60 minute appointment.

Because these hands-on interactions, where I can talk to you, see your skin, take those pictures for your chart…this is how we gauge what is and isn’t working and adjust your treatment plan efficiently to keep your skin looking and feeling it’s best!

It feels like everything is AI lately, and I personally miss the authenticity we used to take for granted, especially online.

I might be old fashioned, but I make it my mission to make sure that my clients get ME. Looking at you, analyzing your skin, working directly with you to make sure you as a fellow human are seen and heard and treated as such.
