If you were born in the 80s or 90s I’m going to bet you heard this at least once.

“There’s starving kids in Africa, finish your plate!”
And while I don’t think there was malicious intent here, it’s absolutely doing a disservice.

It’s overriding how you feel.
Full? Too bad, people have it worse than you keep eating.

And it very well may be why you have a hard time leaving food on your plate now.
But when you can slow down just a bit, check in with how you actually FEEL rather than just what your plate looks like-you’re going to be way better off.
(And have a better relationship with food)

I’m in my mid 30s, but I want to play like I’m 10 again

Don’t get me wrong, I love a coffee chat but I want more play

Let’s get a water slide
Let’s go to a trampoline park
Let’s put on trash bags and find a hill to slide
Let’s get our faces painted

Idk and Idc but let’s add the whimsy 💃

If you’re 30+, what are you doing to add whimsy and fun?

One minute you’re excited, the next you’re wondering if you need to change to enjoy it.

We’ve been so conditioned to see a swimsuit as something to prepare for that the thought barely registers as optional, it just appears.

But here’s what’s actually worth preparing for: being present. Feeling good. Showing up for the people you’re going with.

Save this for the next time the diet spiral shows up uninvited, and follow along for more on ditching the thoughts that keep you stuck.

If telling yourself to remember your why actually worked, you’d already be doing the thing.

Your why matters, but it’s rarely enough on its own to get you moving in the moment.

Here’s what actually helps when you’re staring down a workout you don’t want to do:

Future framing:
how will you feel on the other side of this?

Cultivate motivation:
Find one tiny reason you actually want to go right now. Not a big purpose statement. Just one small thing.

Break it down:
Identify the smallest possible first step. Do just that.
These work individually or together when you really need the extra push.

Save this for the next time you’re negotiating with yourself, and follow along for more on building behaviors that actually stick.

Six weeks, no groceries, and a body ready for summer. Sounds great, right?!

I’m not here to tell you that you shouldn’t have goals surrounding changing your physique or feeling great on a trip-I help people do that all the time.

I am here to challenge that going on a 6 week crash diet isn’t the way to do it.

Week seven always comes. And it always asks the same question, now what?

Sustainable results don’t come from a six week fix. They come from learning how to eat in your actual life, vacation, girls trips, holidays and all.

Save this for the next time a summer shred lands in your feed, and follow along for more on building something that actually lasts past week six.
