✨ WHY NEEDLES > PIERCING GUNS ✨

Ever wonder why professional piercers use needles instead of piercing guns?

A piercing needle is specifically designed to create a clean, precise opening for your jewelry. Piercing guns use force to push the jewelry through the tissue, which can cause more unnecessary trauma to the area.

Piercing needles:
• Are sterile and single-use
• Create a clean, precise opening
• Cause less trauma to the surrounding tissue
• Allow for accurate placement and angles
• Used with properly fitted, quality jewelry

Piercing guns:
• Use blunt force to push jewelry through the tissue
• Can cause more swelling and tissue trauma
• Use butterfly-back jewelry that do not leave enough room for swelling
• Give the piercer less control over placement and angle
• Reusable gun components are impossible to fully sterilize, increasing the risk of infection

Getting pierced with a needle might sound nerve wracking, but it’s actually the best method to give your piercing the best start possible. 🤍

Heyyy I am getting closer and closer to being able to pierce at Ethereal Ink MI , so I thought I would post a ✨ Meet the Piercer ✨ so you can get to know me a bit more!

I am Jael,

I’m currently training as a professional body piercer, and I am on track to pierce in August! I am looking forward to getting to know the community better and provide a way for you to get creative and express yourself!
I am consistently learning something new and working toward giving my future clients the safest and best experience possible.

Some facts about me:
•I am married to my high school sweetheart and the love of my life
•Jesus is my Savior, my strength and my reason
•I am very passionate about art and I love expressing it through my style, crochet, body art, occasional sketching, and any new craft I can try out
•I love all things earthy, natural and cozy. I can’t say no to plants, I love gardening, music, cooking, and soaking up the sun
•I have always had an extreme case of wanderlust and I have been able to give into that and explore alongside my adventurous husband
•I always love a fun drink, whether that’s coffee, chai, or anything fun and summery
•I love trying new things and meeting new people!

I can’t wait to get to know all of you and I am looking forward to seeing how you choose to bedazzle yourself ✨

This is such a fun and affordable opportunity to get creative, learn a new skill, and meet vendors, friends, and everyone at the shop!

I’m teaching my first class! 😱 This is a very chill setting and an opportunity to connect with other creatives, while learning the techniques I use in my artworks. Come eat snacks, hang and lets make art! LIMITED TO 15 SPACES.

Hey everyone!! I’m Jael, and I’m so excited to be joining Ethereal Ink as a piercer 🖤

I’ve always loved the creativity and confidence that comes with piercings and jewelry, and I’m really excited to start this new chapter. My goal is to make people feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely excited about their experience.

I will be training throughout the summer but I look forward to getting to know the clients as I am present at the shop!

We are excited to introduce Jael, as our Client Relations & Body Piercer! She has been assisting behind the scenes and working on completing her training for body piercing. (You may remember Piercings by Mia in the area? Well, this is her younger sister! 🤗 She comes from a good piercing line, lol) She will be offering piercings starting in August and meanwhile, continuing to help provide our clients the best care possible!
