بعد 23 يوماً من زراعة القوقعة... فرحة انتظروها لسنوات لسماع الصوت الأول. 💙👂

لأول مرة إستضاف مركز من حقي أسمع للسمع والنطق في مستشفى الهمشري في مدينة صيدا عملية تركيب وتشغيل المعالج الصوتي لستة مرضى تمت زراعة القوقعة السمعية لهم في مستشفى مار يوسف الجامعي بإشراف الدكتور إيلي عتر يومي 29 و 31 تموز/يوليو الماضي.
وبعد مضي 23 يوماً، تمت عملية تركيب وتشغيل المعالج الصوتي للمرضى الستة، بعد استماعهم لشرحٍ وافٍ ومفصل عن كيفية تشغيل الجهاز والتعامل مع ملحقاته.
كما سيتم مراجعة إختصاصي السمع في المركز كل 21 يوماً لإجراء ضبط دقيق (Mapping) للمعالج الصوتي بناءً على استجابة المريض، لتصبح الأصوات أكثر وضوحاً.

For the first time, the My Right To Hear Center for Hearing and Speech at Al-Hamshari Hospital in Sidon hosted the fitting and activation of sound processors for six patients who had undergone cochlear implant surgery at Saint Joseph University Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Elie Atar, on July 29 and 31.
Twenty-three days after the surgeries, the sound processors were fitted and activated for all six patients, following a comprehensive and detailed explanation of how to operate the devices and use their accessories.
The patients will also visit the Center’s audiologist every 21 days for precise programming (mapping) of their sound processors based on each patient’s individual response, allowing sounds to become progressively clearer.

أربع سنوات فقط... ورحلة أكبر من عمره. 💙
وُلد إسلام بلال زياد ثابت، الطفل الفلسطيني من قطاع غزة، وهو يعاني من ضعف سمع في كلتا الأذنين، إلى جانب تحديات صحية أخرى رافقته منذ طفولته المبكرة.
لكن وسط كل ما مرّ به، بقي الأمل حاضراً.
في مصر، خضع إسلام لعملية زراعة القوقعة السمعية من خلال جمعية من حقي أسمع، ليبدأ خطوة جديدة في رحلته نحو السمع والتواصل مع العالم من حوله.
خلف كل عملية طفل، وعائلة، وحلم بسيط يستحق أن يتحقق.
لأن لكل طفل... الحق في أن يسمع. 💙

Islam Belal Zeyad Thabet, a Palestinian child from the Gaza Strip, was born with hearing loss in both ears, alongside other health challenges he has faced from an early age.
But through it all, hope remained.
In Egypt, Islam underwent cochlear implant surgery through My Right To Hear, taking an important new step in his journey toward hearing and connecting with the world around him.

أنجزت جمعية من حقي أسمع المرحلة الثالثة من المشروع الخيري لزراعة القوقعة السمعية في لبنان من خلال إجراء ستة عمليات لمرضى بأعمار مختلفة من مختلف المناطق كانوا يعانون فقدان السمع والنطق نتيجة أسباب خلقية أو مكتسبة.
وقام الدكتور إيلي عتر الأخصائي في جراحة الأنف والأذن والحنجرة وزراعة القوقعة السمعية باجراء العمليات في مستشفى مار يوسف الجامعي في بيروت، بمشاركة الدكتور محمد ميعاري من جمعية الهلال الاحمر الفلسطيني.
وقد تكللت جميع العمليات بالنجاح التام، وبعد حوالي ثلاثة أسابيع سيستقبل مركز من حقي أسمع للسمع والنطق في مدينة صيدا فريق تقني متخصص لتركيب وتشغيل المعالج الصوتي الخارجي ليسمع المرضى بعدها الصوت الأول وانطلاق رحلة الأمل نحو السمع.

My Right To Hear has successfully completed the third phase of its charitable cochlear implant program in Lebanon by performing six cochlear implant surgeries for patients of different ages from across the country who were living with hearing and speech loss due to congenital or acquired causes.
The surgeries were performed by Dr. Elie Attar, Consultant ENT and Cochlear Implant Surgeon, at Saint Joseph University Hospital in Beirut, with the participation of Dr. Mohammad Miari from the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
All six procedures were completed successfully. In approximately three weeks, the My Right To Hear Hearing & Speech Center in Sidon will welcome a specialized technical team to fit and activate the external sound processors, allowing the patients to experience their first sounds and begin a new journey of hope toward hearing.

ماذا لو كان الصوت أجمل هدية يمكن أن تتلقاها طفلة؟ 💙
وفاء يحيى محمد، طفلة من غزة تبلغ نحو أربع سنوات، تعاني من فقدان سمع شديد منذ أن كان عمرها عامًا وثلاثة أشهر.
وفي مصر، خضعت وفاء لعملية زراعة القوقعة السمعية، وتكلّلت العملية بالنجاح.
اليوم، تبدأ وفاء رحلتها نحو سماع صوت عائلتها، والتواصل معهم، واكتشاف عالمٍ ظل صامتًا أمامها طويلاً.

Wafaa Yahia Mohamed is a four years old girl from Gaza who has lived with severe hearing loss since she was just 15 months old.
In Egypt, Wafaa underwent successful cochlear implant surgery.
