The design process has always been my favorite part💙
It starts with a sketch, a feeling, a memory. Inspiration shows up in the most unexpected places—old road trips, songs that make me roll the windows down, babies in the backseat, conversations with strangers who become friends, and the simple joy of making something with my hands.
As we get closer to celebrating 10 years of Indigo Laine, I’ve found myself looking back at where it all started. A road trip with my friend Amanda, two toddlers along for the ride, and a soundtrack full of Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Texas Country, Southern Rock, worship music, Elton John, Bad Company, and John Mellencamp.
Ten years of miles traveled. Sweet people met along the way. Big wins. Hard lessons. Unexpected turns. Moments that made me laugh, cry, grow, and keep going.
The question I’ve been asking myself is: How do you take all of that and turn it into a collection?
This is the beginning. A little peek behind the curtain. The messy middle where memories become sketches, sketches become products, and ideas finally make their way out of my head and into the world.
