Every cell in your body (except one kind, but more on that later) contains the same set of chromosomes: half from your mom, and half from your dad. This is why I have my mom’s brown eyes and my dad’s big feet (seriously, they’re huge)

Let’s start with the most basic things that make your body up: your genes. And I’m not talking about pantalones here, people! Allow me to explain.

Even though the cell is already soooooo small, it gets even smaller! Inside every cell is a room called the nucleus and inside the nucleus are chromosomes.

I feel ‘female’ is the label that fits me best, so I identify as a woman. It’s important to explore what gender you feel most comfortable expressing as.

No matter how one identifies, everyone is born with reproductive organs, such as the uterus or te**es. ‘Biological s*x’ is by no means the only (or even the biggest) thing that contributes to what makes you who you are, but it is still a huge influence on your experience from the inside and the outside, especially when it comes to your health. Biological s*x has been understood to be binary, either male or female, but recent research has found that, like most things, it’s actually waaaaaaay more complicated than that!
