When Emma was 11 or 12 she came home from a Women in Engineering day field trip. She said “I think I will do that”. A couple of years later, her Dad had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery for Parkinson’s Disease. She said, “I could engineer things that help people like that”.

Last weekend, my strong, intelligent, determined daughter graduated with a BS in Engineering with a Biomedical Specialty. I could never be more proud.

She starts her career in a few weeks as an Onsite Endoscopy Specialist. I can’t wait to see where things go from here. ❤️🍾🎉
