Protect yourself and those around you this flu season! Serenity Care PACE will be hosting flu clinics on select dates from September through February. Flu vaccinations will be available 9:00 AM–4:00 PM at 604 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA.

‼️ Air Quality Advisory ‼️

🔥 The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) has issued a statewide Air Quality Alert due to elevated levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) caused by smoke from the Canadian wildfires. The alert is currently in effect through noon on Thursday.

🔔 Sensitive groups include:
•Individuals with heart or lung disease (including asthma)
•Older adults
•Children and teenagers
•People who are active outdoors

❗️What you can do:
•Encourage participants in sensitive groups to limit prolonged or strenuous outdoor activities.
•Monitor participants for symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing.
•Ensure participants with asthma or other respiratory conditions have access to their prescribed quick-relief medications and follow their asthma action plans.
•Allow for additional rest breaks and reduce outdoor exertion when appropriate.

✅ Please use extra caution when planning outdoor activities and monitor those who may be at increased risk for adverse effects from poor air quality.
