When I say I have the BEST clinical team/staff, I truly mean it! 💛

We gather for group clinical supervision once a month and individual supervision weekly, and every time I’m reminded what a gift it is to connect with such dedicated, compassionate therapists. This Easter, our supervision day was something special.

We didn’t just meet—we built community. We created a safe, meaningful space where we could simply be. We prayed, laughed, painted, ate, and played games. We held space for vulnerability and honored the truth that we all carry and express emotions differently.

One of my favorite moments was asking the team: “If your mood was a color, what would it be and why?”
Because colors speak. They hold energy, emotion, and awareness of who we are in each moment.
Black can feel strong yet empty. Red can feel bold, passionate, and full of life. Every color tells a story—and so do we.

In a world that often feels overwhelming, we were reminded how important it is to slow down, connect, and care for ourselves so we can continue to care for others. We walked away not only refreshed, but with new art therapy strategies to pour back into our clients.

This Easter, I encourage you to reflect on where God has brought you from—and where He is taking you. Growth isn’t always easy, but it is always purposeful.

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” — Matthew 28:6

My prayer is that you feel the peace of the Holy Spirit, the unconditional love of Christ, and the grace to keep moving forward with purpose.

I recently had the opportunity to speak on the emotional trauma many women of color carry and the double standards they’re forced to navigate.

Too much emotion and they’re labeled “angry.”
Not enough emotion and they’re called “too strong” or “overly independent.”

These narratives leave little room for authenticity, softness, or humanity.

My work is rooted in creating safe spaces where women can be vulnerable, fully seen, and supported without judgment. Mental health care must include environments where people don’t have to shrink, perform, or armor up just to be understood.

Your mental health matters. Your story matters. Your emotions are valid.
