On February 7, 2006, Home Eco officially opened its doors. Now, seven years later, it is time to close them.

We are immensely grateful for all of the wonderful people we have met and all we have learned from you. We hope that our paths will continue to cross with yours in new and diverse ways.

The business and the building are both available for sale and we are open to other visions for the store, including some kind of cooperative.

Phil will continue to be available for consulting on IT and renewable energy projects, and the Sustainable Backyard Tour will return for the third year on June 23rd under the auspices of Terry’s fledgling new project: Grassroots Green.

Our going-out-of-business sale begins Friday with 20% off entire stock Housewares, Lawn & Garden, and Gifts and 10% off all cleansers, soaps, and health & beauty products (consignment goods not included.) Refills and resale items will not be further discounted.

Once again, thank you for your support of the environment and for your friendship.
