✨🍚The magic of rice🍚 ✨
Have you ever made rice water before?!
I make this once a week and I swear by it (along with all the other concoctions that I post 😂)
Rice water leaves my hair feeling SO soft, smooth, and shiny! It also helps support scalp health, hair strength, and can help reduce breakage!
Rice water is rich in amino acids which is what helps support stronger hair, and contains vitamins and minerals that nourish the hair and scalp. It has been used for centuries in various cultures as a traditional hair treatment 🥰
My favorite way to use it is to completely saturate my hair, leave it on for about 2 hours, then hop in the shower and rinse it out.
Here’s how I make mine: (approximately- I eyeball it)
🍚 ½ cup organic white rice
💧 1 cup water
🌿 Fresh rosemary (I add this because I love it for scalp care)
I let everything sit in a bowl for about 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Then I strain it, pour it into a glass jar, and store it in the refrigerator. It stays fresh for about 1 week.
There are lots of different ways to make rice water, but this is the method that I personally like to use. 😊
I also enjoy using it on my face! It feels incredibly refreshing and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and hydrated.
