What is Thai Yoga Massage?
"Thai yoga massage" is an ancient healing system combining acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Traditional Thai massage doesn't use oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver; the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked.
Benefits:
-It uses the gentle pressure on energy lines and the yoga-like stretching to relax the whole body on a deeper level.
The deeper level of relaxation improves the individuals' personal outlook, and their emotional status.
Helps to reduce the individual's stress levels and improve their overall circulation.
-Enhances the persons' flexibility allowing for a greater range of motion.
-The slow movements allow for the mind and the spirit to slow down and realize a true form of relaxation. It centers the individual. This will aid to level out blood pressure.
-Thai massage also enhances the circulatory system. With increased circulation, more oxygen will be brought to the brain.
-Increases resistance to injury.
-Relieves pain due to arthritis, stress, and overworked muscles.
Other modalities I am certified in: Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Trigger Point work, and Swedish Massage.
