I'm excited to share that on August 17th, 2026 at 1 PM, I'll have the opportunity to speak with nursing students at Connors State College about something that I believe deserves far more attention in healthcare. The mental health of both the people we care for and the people doing the caring. In a presentation titled, "Behind The Scrubs: Mental Health, Nursing, and the Human Side of Healthcare"
We will discuss how to recognize psychological stress, responding to crisis, and behavioral health as part of the "whole person" healthcare, and what it means to care for ourselves while building careers centered around caring for others.
Nursing school is HARD. Nursing is HARD. And behind every pair of scrubs is a human being carrying their own story, stress, fears, relationships, and life outside of healthcare. We can't simply separate the human being from healthcare. I'm beyond thankful for Connors State College for inviting me into the classroom for this conversation. I look forward to making it fun, informative, practical, and interactive.
And, of course, always a bow-tie to present. If you are interested in attending, please reach out and I'd be happy to help.
