Are you tired of starting over?

Starting over after every holiday
Starting over every Monday
Starting over after vacation
Starting over after the weekend
Starting over after you ate the dessert
If you’ve spent years dieting, it’s easy to get stuck in the cycle of:

Restrict → “be good” → feel deprived → overeat → feel guilty → start over

That cycle is exhausting, isn't it?

As a dietitian, one of the things I see over and over again is women who know a lot about nutrition but still feel like they can’t trust themselves around food

--They’re constantly thinking about what they should or shouldn’t eat
--They label foods as “good” or “bad”
--They feel guilty when they eat something that wasn’t part of the plan
--And they believe they just need more willpower

What if the answer isn't another diet - what if it’s learning how to have a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food?

That doesn’t mean “eat whatever you want and forget about your health”

It means learning how to:

✅Nourish your body consistently without obsessing over every bite
✅Enjoy your favorite foods without guilt
✅Stop viewing one meal as “ruining” your progress
✅Focus on energy, strength, digestion, hormones and health - not just the scale
✅Make choices from a place of self-care rather than punishment
✅Trust a long-term strategy instead of chasing the next quick fix

If you’re ready to get out of the diet cycle and start creating a healthier relationship with food, I recently wrote a new blog post all about it

One of the biggest challenges I hear from women is that the things they used to do for diet and exercise in their 20's is just not working the same anymore

If you feel like the things that used to work for weight loss suddenly don't - there's a reason⁣

As we entire into perimenopause (which can start at 35) there can be some BIG changes that impact your energy, appetite, body composition, and where you tend to store fat⁣

Here’s what’s going on: ⁣

--Estrogen is changing. During perimenopause, fluctuating estrogen can influence where your body stores fat, with more fat tending to accumulate around the abdomen.⁣ Estrogen is also an anti-inflammatory hormone, so when it drops, we're more prone to stress and inflammation in the body

--Muscle mass naturally declines with age. Since muscle is metabolically active tissue, losing muscle can impact how many calories your body burns each day⁣

--Blood sugar regulation can change. Reduced insulin sensitivity can make managing blood sugar, hunger, cravings, and body composition more challenging⁣ This is a huge reason why I approach nutrition from a blood sugar standpoint - not just looking at calories

--Sleep can take a hit. Night sweats, waking during the night, and hormone fluctuations can all impact sleep, which then can affect hunger, cravings, energy, and recovery⁣

--Undereating can work against you. If you’re eating less and less while also not getting enough (especially protein), you risk losing muscle, and increase stress in the body

And this is why the answer isn’t simply:
❌ Eat less⁣
❌ Do more cardio⁣
❌ Skip meals⁣
❌ Cut carbs⁣
❌ “Just have more discipline”⁣

You may simply need a different strategy for this stage of life⁣

One that supports losing excess body fat while protecting muscle, supporting your metabolism, and feeling strong and energized in the process⁣

Can I get an amen?!

If you're ready to learn how to eat to support better energy, hormones, and metabolic health after the age of 35 - I'm doing a live 30-minute training next Tuesday, September 1st called "Fuel to Thrive"
