“Before I knew I was pregnant I knew this time around would be a wild pregnancy and another freebirth. each time I’m pregnant my husband always jokes that it’s twins.I did end up getting one ultrasound way early on at a resource center to confirm pregnancy and because my husband is military so we needed proof. I got confirmation I was having twins! I woke up on April 9th at 38 weeks & some days & told my husband that the twins were coming this day. I didn’t know for sure all i knew was I had so much mucus with tinges of blood, so I just assumed. I had been having strong contractions for days so the anticipation was real.Contractions had been pretty much every 10 minutes all day long. I was waiting & waiting for things to pick up when around 8pm I did notice contractions to be a bit stronger & maybe more frequent. I knew it was time to shift my mind & spirit.Every contraction I told myself “ I’m almost done, then I can relax “ my husband joined me in our room and we talked after each contraction. I kept apologizing for taking so long & every word he reassured me labor was doing exactly what it was supposed to & that it was taking as long as it’s supposed to. I could tell I was entering transition, it was about 30 seconds in between each contraction.I was expecting FER like my last birth but God told me I had to work.Next thing I know I felt big relief as I just pushed out baby number one. My husband held baby while we waited for the next since the cord was so short. About 5 minutes later contractions started to pick up heavily again. A few pushes go by & my husband says he sees a head. And there it was. 2 babies, both born head first, both boys.My husband woke our 3 yr old daughter & together he and her helped me & babies settle in bed. I have no idea what time they were actually born. By this time it was almost 3am.  But they both came exactly the way I knew they would, happy, healthy & at home.”

And besides, what if you didn’t fear being fearful?
What if you looked fear in the face and confronted it.
What if you dove into the very uncomfortable parts?
Because, my darling, this may be where you conquer it all.
Where you meet your baby.
And where your power comes to fruition.

When your provider says “You cannot have a breech baby vaginally, you must have a cesarean.”, what they meant to say was “You have options. You can still birth your breech baby vaginally, just not with me as your provider.”

A hospital banning VBAC’s for every patient is:
♦️Unethical
♦️Harmful
♦️Violation of patient rights, birth rights and bodily autonomy
♦️Obstetrical violence
♦️Against medical evidence
♦️Ignores ACOG’s statements

If a hospital has a VBAC ban, families need to know that they still have the right to informed refusal and should not be forced by their providers or hospitals into a repeat cesarean.

If forced it is considered medical assault which should be taken very seriously.

Hospitals who ban VBAC’s are violating human rights.

A hospital policy does not override your human right to bodily autonomy.

A hospital cannot ethically say is they don’t allow VBAC’s and you must consent to surgery.

You do not lose the right to informed consent or informed refusal because you’ve had a previous cesarean.

You do not lose bodily autonomy because you’re pregnant.

And “hospital policy” does not magically turn coercion into consent.

A cesarean without valid consent isn’t patient-centered care. A VBAC ban used to coerce someone into surgery is a bodily-autonomy issue.

The mother writes:

“It’s important to truly trust your birth team and if you’re going to put your time and energy into anything, it’s knowing where you feel safest to give birth. When I was in the moment of this, I felt absolutely no fear; and completely held in so much love and calm. After watching the video I was even more grateful to our midwife because I know how differently this would have gone in a hospital setting.

I got to meet my triple rainbow baby with no stress or tears as my midwives handled a stuck shoulder with calm and quick methods, resulting in the most magical experience of my life thus far.”

🔥 Cool & Wild Facts About the Uterus🔥

💥Strongest muscle in the body (pound for pound).
The uterus can generate up to 100 lbs of force per contraction during labor. That’s more than many athletes can deadlift with just one muscle.

💥Expands 500x its size.
From about the size of a pear, it can stretch to hold a full-term baby, placenta, and up to a liter of amniotic fluid. Then it shrinks back down after birth.

💥It has memory.
The uterus can actually “remember” previous pregnancies. After someone has given birth, future labors are often faster because of changes in uterine muscle fibers.

💥Blood flow powerhouse.
In late pregnancy, the uterus receives 20% of the entire body’s blood supply to nourish the baby and placenta.

💥Self-repairing organ.
After birth, the uterus clamps down on blood vessels and regenerates tissue where the placenta detached. Few organs in the body can heal so rapidly.

💥Source of life since forever.
In many cultures, the uterus was seen as the “original cauldron” of creation, where life begins, where transformation happens, and where raw power resides.

💥Contracts outside of labor too.
The uterus contracts during menstruation, or**sm, and even breastfeeding (thanks to oxytocin).

➳
Birth can be hard.
➳
It cracks you open in ways no one prepares you for.
➳
Your body becomes a battleground and a birthplace.
➳
Your mind stretches, breaks, rebuilds.
➳
You question your strength in one breath, and embody it in the next.
➳
You bleed. You roar. You surrender. You rise.
➳
And still, you would do it again.
➳
Not because it was easy.
Not because it was painless.
But because it was yours.
Because there was power in the pain.
Because something inside you woke up and will never sleep again.
➳
Birth isn’t just how a baby is born.
➳
It’s how a parent is born too.
➳
And yes, it’s hard.
➳
And yes, it’s worth every second.
