I’m always interested in learning about ways to calm the nervous system. I knew diaphragmatic breathing was one of them, but only recently found out how many benefits it offers. I learned to play Mahjongg for one reason:

My mom. ❤️

At a time when I felt like I had a million things to do and no extra time, I decided to make room for one more thing.

Not because I needed a new hobby.

Because I don’t want to look back one day and wish I’d spent more time with her when I had the chance.
The games are fun, but they’re not really about the tiles.

They’re about laughter, conversations, memories,
and being present while we still can.

No regrets.
Just time well spent.

For years my daughter dreamed of visiting Japan.

Now she gets to go.

It’s wild to look at a map and realize your child is on the other side of the world. As a mom, that’s both exciting and if I’m honest, slightly frightening.

I’m thankful she’s experiencing a new culture and seeing firsthand how big and beautiful God’s world is.

He leaves home early on Sunday morning, dribbles the ball to church, tucks the ball in the bushes, then grabs it and dribbles back home after.

Soccer ball or no soccer ball, that makes me feel proud. But I wonder…

Do the teens in your life go to church?

Kids, grandkids, nephews or nieces…

What about young adults in your life?

Yes? Thank God!

No? Fear not.

God is still writing their story.✏️

When my children are hurting, I bring them to Jesus.

But as a Catholic mom, I also find comfort in bringing them to His Mother.

Today, after watching my son suffer with a migraine, I took a walk to a familiar place. Not because I needed answers, but because I needed a mother who understands what it feels like to watch a child suffer.

Mary may not take away every burden, but she always points me to the One who can carry it.
