Life recently in between art journaling gatherings and now snow in Texas ❄️⛄.

1. Our golden boy..
2. Caught the sun one morning. 😍.
3. I like to paint small. It postures me to focus. Also, limitations promote creativity. Also reminds me of how God often has us take one small faith-filled step at a time..
4. Golden boy in dog sweater on grid pattern. Three of my many favorite things..
5. January 21, 2025 ❄️⛄Surprise snow in Houston. Golden boy in dog sweater discovered that snow tastes good and snowman's nose is actually a carrot 🥕.....
6. My beautiful firstborn aka co-creator of snowman rescued him⛄from being eaten up by golden boy in dog sweater when he discovered snow and carrot were both food. .
7. Snow ❄️ capped 🍄🍄 in one of my favorite little spots in the yard..
8. A God wink. .
9. Where's tiny Jesus?.
10. Here He is!.
11. Ready for another art journaling gathering 🖌️🎨🌷.
12. Challenged by my own question left in my Bible from over a year ago..

Last week, I received the gift of hearing two daughters and their mamas reflect on the last year. My dear friends opened their hearts and shared their honest thoughts on the challenges they had experienced and God's faithfulness through it all.
Collectively, these women, these warriors and daughters of the Most High, have endured so much last season and the pictures that Holy Spirit put on their hearts to paint were of beauty, joy, hope, and resilience.
I'm so grateful for their trust as I partnered with God to create this space for stillness, reflection, deep connection, and creativity. God showed up in such a tender and beautiful way.
I love and cherish these people.

The other day 💕🎨🖌️. These beautiful teen girls showed up with open hearts and the desire to commune with Jesus. They laid down the need to be perfect. They understood that this art journaling thing was not about being perfect and creating something beautiful, but about hosting the Spirit of the Lord, paying attention to what He's revealing, and reflecting that through the paints and brushes.
Our moments with God are worth recording. I like to work small...4 x 6" or 4 x 4" even 2 x 2"...or 5 x 7" at the most because it's doable and helps us focus.

Lately...⁣

1. I had been collecting old journals and written memories from a time when fear and lies ruled over me. Kept them in a paper bag knowing that when the time was right, I wanted to burn them in honor of God's refining fire and of shedding off of old self and fleshly desires in exchange for wholeness and renewal. That time came the other night. Thankful to share that moment with my kids and spiritual kid. ⁣
⁣
2. Then we roasted sausage, focaccia bread, and marshmallows. ⁣
⁣
3. The other morning when the ☀️ finally decided to say HELLO and I was in my favorite spot in the house. ⁣
⁣
4. Flowers in Christmas colors.⁣
⁣
5. I think my husband is my Secret Santa. Gift giving is not his love language. So I'm dropping a very direct hint.😆 Into bows this season. ⁣
⁣
6. My view the other night. 🎄♥️⁣
⁣
7. Get you an Irish friend that bakes well. This was blueberry 🫐 sourdough and it was heavenly. ⁣
⁣
8. Learned to make a Biscoff dessert. Are too much of it cause it was that good. ⁣
⁣
9. "Back to the Garden" art journaling workshop launching January 1. ⁣

10. Psalm 28:7 "The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving." ⁣
Trust is not a feeling you wait around to show up.
