Life has felt really full lately.

Motherhood, work, grief, relationships, transitions, trying to take care of everyone else while also figuring out what I need in this season.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I’ve been thinking a lot about identity.

Who am I now?

What still fits?

What doesn’t?

What parts of me am I growing into, and what parts am I ready to let go of?

I think so much of adulthood is realizing that we’re allowed to keep becoming. We don’t have to have one fixed version of ourselves that works forever.

Sometimes growth looks like moving forward. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, changing your mind, asking better questions, or simply being more honest with yourself about what you want.

I’m still working through a lot of that in my own life, and maybe that’s part of why I still love coaching so much.

There’s something really meaningful about sitting with someone while they’re figuring out who they are now, what matters to them, and what they want their life to feel like next.

So if you’re in one of those seasons too, I’d love to support you through it.

Apparently from the 80s and beyond. 😂💗

As summer slowly comes to an end and fall starts to creep in, I’ve been thinking about how beautiful — and challenging — this season of motherhood is.

Everyone tells you to soak it in because one day you’ll miss these years. And sometimes, in the middle of the mess and exhaustion, that feels almost impossible to understand.

But then there are moments when time seems to stand still. I look at my girls and just let myself love them exactly as they are, knowing they won’t be this little forever.

And still, my mind wanders ahead. Am I doing enough? Am I parenting them well? Will they be happy, confident, thriving adults someday?

The truth is, I can’t know their futures. I can only love them, guide them, pray for them, and trust that I don’t need to have every answer today.

Maybe part of motherhood is learning to loosen our grip on the future so we don’t miss the life happening right in front of us.

So I’m practicing being here. Enjoying the ordinary. Trusting myself a little more. And remembering that my girls don’t need a perfect mom — they need their mom. 🤍

And if you need the reminder too: you are the right mom for your babies.

P.S. I miss my mom terribly. Losing her during a season when I find myself needing my own mother more than ever has been one of the hardest parts of all of this. 💔

Yesterday was my birthday. 🦁♌️🎂

We celebrated with a very glamorous 3pm dinner of AYCE sushi with the girls. 😂 And honestly? They did pretty well.

They’ve come such a long way in the art of sitting at a restaurant with us and being somewhat manageable. Did they actually eat much of the all-you-can-eat sushi? Absolutely not. Thankfully they’re still 3 and under. 😂 Their snacks came with us, we came prepared, and I think part of the reason outings have gotten easier is because I’ve learned what they need—and what I need—to make these things enjoyable for everyone.

There was a little part of me that wanted a birthday reminiscent of my old life.

A fancy restaurant. A yummy cocktail or two. Maybe a bar afterward or an escape room. Something that felt like the birthdays I used to have before kids.

And if I’m being truthful, that still sounds like a pretty great birthday to me.

But motherhood has taught me to find the best of both worlds.

So this year it was sushi close to home at 3pm, home in time for the girls’ bedtime, and then a relaxing massage for Mom after they were tucked in for the night.

And you know what?

It was a really good birthday.

I used to feel like birthdays had to be big to feel special. I’m realizing now that maybe they don’t.

Sometimes special looks like sitting around a table with the beautiful little family you once dreamed about having—even if you’re pulling snacks out of your bag at an AYCE sushi restaurant. 😂

Life looks different now. Birthdays look different now.

But different doesn’t mean less.

And I think I’m finally learning to appreciate the version of celebrating that belongs to this season of my life. 🤍

Here’s to another trip around the sun. 🥂✨

Monday morning. ☀️

A walk around our little community park. Much needed for our whole family to get some fresh air and some morning steps in.

I honestly cannot believe summer is almost over and Lyra will be starting Pre-K3 at the end of the month. Time is literally flying. 🥹 I’m excited for the cooler temps, settling into new school routines, and yes… the holidays. 🎃🦃🎄🎊

But first—my birthday!! 🦁♌️🎂

Trying to soak up these ordinary little days as they come, because somehow they keep passing faster and faster. 🤍

I used to think I wanted a village because it meant having extra hands.

After my mother-in-law and niece visited, I realized it’s so much more than that.

One day we were driving, and Lyra started getting upset at a red light. (If you’re a toddler parent, you know how these little things can become very big feelings.)

Normally it’s just me trying to explain why we have to stop, reassuring her, taking deep breaths together, and waiting for the light to turn green.

But this time, I wasn’t alone.

My mother-in-law and niece jumped in naturally. They offered their own explanations, helped soothe her, and simply shared the moment with me.

That’s when it hit me.

A village doesn’t just share the physical work. It shares the emotional work too.

For the first time, I wasn’t the only one holding space for my toddler’s big emotions. We were carrying them together.

Yes, they helped chase Lyra when she ran off. Yes, they packed snacks and water before I even thought about it. Those things mattered.

But what stayed with me most wasn’t the physical help or even the mental load.

It was realizing how much emotional weight I carry every single day—and how much lighter it feels when someone helps carry it with you.

I felt seen.

I felt understood.

And honestly, I felt validated in why some days it feels easier to stay home.

So whether you have a village around you or you’re carrying so much of it on your own…

You’re doing an incredible job.

I see you. ❤️

Every time I cut my hair, it seems a new chapter isn’t far behind.

Maybe it’s my birthday around the corner. Maybe it’s simply the season I’m in.

Either way, I’m feeling called to step back for a while—to reflect, to reset, and to make space for whatever comes next.

See you when the time feels right. 🤍

One of my clients came to me feeling like so many women do…

She had spent years putting everyone else first.

She loved her family deeply, but somewhere along the way, she had stopped prioritizing herself. She knew she wanted to feel healthier—physically and mentally—but didn’t know how to make herself a priority without feeling guilty.

Over the next three months, we didn’t try to “fix” her.

We slowed down.

We explored the patterns beneath the surface, created space for honest reflection, and practiced small shifts that fit her real life.

When our time together ended, she shared something I’ll never forget:

“I discovered vulnerabilities beneath the surface that had quietly been holding me back.”

“Nychel’s coaching made it easier to integrate meaningful changes into my daily life in a natural, fluid way.”

That is what Deep Recalibration is about.

Not becoming someone new.

Not adding more to your already full plate.

But reconnecting with the version of yourself that’s been there all along—beneath the stress, overwhelm, and endless responsibilities.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected from yourself and know it’s time for a change, I’d love to support you.

Life doesn’t have to fall apart for you to feel lost.

Maybe you’re navigating a new season.
A career change.
Motherhood.
Grief.
A relationship shift.
Or maybe you’ve simply outgrown the version of yourself that got you here.

Right now, you might feel like you’re just getting through each day—doing what needs to be done while wondering where you went.

What you really want isn’t a completely different life.

You want to feel like yourself again.
More grounded.
More present.
More connected.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

You don’t find yourself by waiting for life to slow down.

You find yourself by creating small moments to reconnect with who you’ve been all along.

Healing doesn’t ask you to become someone new.

It invites you to come home to yourself.

🤍 If you’re navigating a life transition and longing to feel more like yourself again, I’d love to invite you into a complimentary coaching session.

Together, we’ll create space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and uncover your next aligned step.

Send me “RECALIBRATE” in a DM, and I’ll send you the details.

She wants to feel like herself again.

But she keeps trying to become a “better mom” by giving more.

More patience.
More energy.
More time.
More of herself.

And somewhere along the way…

She disappeared.

Of course she did.

When you’re constantly pouring into everyone else, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself.

The goal isn’t to become a better version of yourself through more sacrifice.

The goal is to reconnect with the woman who has been there all along.

🤍 If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself again, send me “CLARITY” in a DM.

You’re waiting until you’re overwhelmed to breathe.

Most of us don’t think about our breath until we’re already anxious, overstimulated, or on the verge of snapping.

As moms, we’re constantly moving from one thing to the next—making breakfast, answering questions, cleaning up messes, running errands, solving problems, caring for everyone else.

Before we know it, we’re operating on autopilot.

But breathwork isn’t just something you turn to when life feels like it’s falling apart.

It’s a way to stay connected to yourself before stress takes over.

Taking just one intentional minute to pause and breathe won’t erase your stress…

But it can change how you move through it.

It creates a small moment to check in with yourself instead of pushing through on autopilot.

🤍 Try this today:

Inhale slowly through your nose for 4 counts.
Exhale gently through your mouth for 6 counts.
Repeat 5 times.

Then simply notice…

What shifted?
How does your body feel?
What do you need right now?

Sometimes the smallest pause creates the biggest shift.

Maybe the deepest breath you take this week isn’t just the one that calms your nervous system…maybe it’s the one that gives yourself permission to ask for support.

🤍 If you’re ready for that, send me “CLARITY” in a DM. I’m currently offering a few complimentary 45-minute Clarity Sessions for women who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply longing to reconnect with themselves.
