Everyone said fasting would fix my fatigue. Instead, I got weaker and more burned out.For so many of us living with fatigue, pain, and burnout… it’s not under-eating that helps us heal—it’s nourishing ourselves the right way without guilt.
✨ Some say fasting boosts mitochondrial health—and it can for many people, with varying health conditions, however if you're living with chronic fatigue, here's why it may backfire:
• Can spike cortisol + worsen crashes• Starves already low energy systems• Stresses the nervous system• Triggers symptom flares (like dizziness or pain)• Reduces nutrients your cells need to heal
Your body’s already working hard. Gentle, steady nourishment supports healing more than restriction ever will. 💛

In Phase 1 of the MITFIT 90 program, the focus is on helping you to restore your energy through food—not restricting it. If you are curious about this program check it out in the link in my bio.
If food has ever felt like another thing that you have to restrict in order to feel “good,” you’re not alone.***
💚Save this if food feels like a fight on your low-energy days and if you need help reach out to me. I would be more than happy to help.

If you are like me…I used to think affirmations were kind of…well, pointless.
Honestly? Saying things like “I’m safe” or “I deserve rest” felt awkward and fake—especially when I didn’t believe them.

But I started recording my own affirmations—real things I wanted to believe—and listened to them every morning. At first, it felt silly 😛. But something shifted.
My body started to feel safer.
My energy felt more stable.
My flare-ups became less intense.

Not overnight. But over time.

Because when your nervous system feels safe, your body can begin to heal.

💛 If you’re doing the workouts but still feeling stuck… try pairing them with affirmations. Before or after each routine —just a few minutes a day.

✨ Speak to yourself like someone worth healing.

Give it 7 days. You might be surprised.
Let me know below if you’re going to try it by commenting with a 👍🏼 I’d love to cheer you on.

I was always told “It just takes time” and “Your body will get used to it with consistency” but this never worked for me, even before I got sick.
I always thought pushing through, even when it left me exhuasted after, was the only way to see results. So I kept pushing, like many of us do and I ended up more sick and completely burnout. I couldn’t stay consistent with a routine ever so I ended up loosing all I I worked so hard to gain over and over again. I was so discouraged 😣
That’s when I knew I had to rebuild everything—my workouts, my mindset, and the way I approached strength.
I lowered the weight, stopped the repeats, added real rest, and focused on nervous system support.
And it worked.I got stronger with less pain, more energy, and no more crashes.
If you’ve been told the only way to get strong is to lift heavy— I’m here to tell you there’s another way. •••••

That early phase is hard—but it doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. 💛
Your body is learning, adjusting, and trying to trust that movement can be safe again. The soreness, the extra fatigue—it’s normal at first, and it will ease with time.

Go slower than you think you need to. Take breaks. Breathe through it. This is how real, lasting strength is built—with patience and care.

✨ You don’t have to push to make progress—you just have to keep showing up, gently. Let me know how it’s going for you in the comments. I’m cheering you on. 💬
