We’ve had the chance to visit quite a few new homes lately, and we always enjoy seeing what’s happening in our local senior living community.
Our team recently stopped by the open house at Paradisi Manor in Surprise to tour the home, visit with the team, and learn more about what they’re offering families in the West Valley.
For us, these visits matter. When a family calls Gentle Hearts looking for help, we want to know more than what we can find on a website. We want to know the homes, the people, and the environment so we can help families make informed decisions.
Congratulations to the Paradisi Manor team on the opening! 💗

This week, Michelle had the privilege of talking with members of our community about memory changes and dementia.

These conversations matter because fear often fills the space where clear information is missing. Not every forgotten name or misplaced item means dementia. What matters is the pattern, whether daily life or safety is changing, and whether another health issue may be contributing.

Education gives older adults and families a place to begin:

Notice the changes.
Talk openly.
Check possible causes.
Add the smallest amount of support that improves safety.

Thank you to everyone who listened, asked questions, and shared in the conversation. We believe people deserve information that protects dignity, choice, and quality of life.

If memory or thinking changes concern you, write down what you are noticing and speak with a health professional.

Educational information only—not a diagnosis.

One of our own found herself in a very familiar situation last week. ❤️

Many of you know Chantae, our Director of Care Navigation. She's been a Registered Nurse for nearly 20 years and has spent much of that time helping families through some incredibly difficult moments.

Last week, it was her family.

Chantae's fiercely independent, 90-year-old grandmother suffered a terrible fall and fractured both her hip and humerus.

Chantae was out of state when she got the call. Within hours, she had left her husband, three young kids, and work behind and was on a plane to be with Grandma.

Suddenly, she was facing the same questions so many families who come to Gentle Hearts are facing.

Is home still possible? What is safest? What does Grandma want? How do we put the right support in place? And how do you make all of these decisions when you're scared, exhausted, and still have a life and family waiting for you back home?

Chantae ultimately helped honor her grandmother's wishes and brought her home with hospice support.

We talk a lot at Gentle Hearts about meeting families where they are. Experiences like this remind us just how much can be happening behind that first phone call.

We're incredibly proud to have Chantae on our team, and right now we're sending a whole lot of love to her and her grandma. ❤️

Finding the right care for someone you love is rarely just a logistical decision. It’s personal.

For Michelle Sayles, that understanding started long before Gentle Hearts Living Solutions. Her own experience as a caregiver—and more than 20 years as a nurse—helped shape the way we approach families today.

In this conversation, Michelle shares some of that journey and why having the right guidance matters when families are navigating senior care.

If you’re caring for an aging parent or loved one, or you simply want to better understand the options available, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to listen.

What a great couple of days at the annual Bandera conference!

Michelle, Chantae, and Jonathan had the opportunity to spend time with so many wonderful people who are doing meaningful work in senior care.

There were plenty of conversations about business and our industry, but some of the best moments were simply catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, sharing stories, and learning from each other.

That's something we've come to appreciate more and more as we've grown Gentle Hearts Living Solutions: none of us does this work alone.

When a family calls us for help, our ability to serve them comes from years of building relationships with communities, care providers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and other people who genuinely care about doing what's right for seniors.

We're grateful to be part of this community and grateful for everyone who spent some time with us over the past few days.

Now it's time to take some of those conversations and ideas and put them to work. ❤️

What a great conversation with Bob Roth, owner of Cypress HomeCare Solutions, on his podcast!

Michelle had the opportunity to sit down with Bob and talk about their respective journeys into senior care, the importance of education, what they’ve learned along the way, and how we continue finding better solutions for seniors and their families.

One of the things we believe strongly at Gentle Hearts is that senior care really is an ecosystem. Home care, senior living, hospice, healthcare providers, care navigation, placement professionals, families and so many others all bring something important to the table.

When we stop operating in silos and start understanding how we can work together, seniors benefit.

Thank you, Bob, for having Michelle on and for continuing to create conversations that move our industry forward. We can’t wait to share the episode!

A beautiful home matters—but understanding the heart behind it matters even more.

Jonathan and I recently attended the open house for a new senior living home opening in Peoria. We had the chance to walk through the home, see the comfortable resident spaces and outdoor areas, and hear more about the mission and personal “why” behind it all.

These conversations are one of the most important parts of our work. When a family asks us about care options, we want to offer more than names on a list. We want to understand the people, the environment, and what makes each home different.

It was also wonderful running into our community partner Brittany Singleton. We always enjoy connecting with others who care deeply about serving Arizona seniors and their families.

From Pocatello to Phoenix—different regions, shared roots, and one important purpose: helping people receive the right care in the right place.

After sponsoring Pennant’s annual event in Idaho, Gentle Hearts Living Solutions is proud to next support the Bandera Healthcare Annual Meeting in Arizona.

Michelle will be sharing a brief presentation, and several members of our team will be there connecting with the people who care for older adults every day.

Serving families across Arizona and Idaho means building strong relationships across the full continuum of care—and we’re grateful to keep showing up in both communities.

If you’ll be there, please come say hello! 💙
