Save the Midway! 🎡 Honoring Our Heroes at the Music in the Park Festival!
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
For over a century, Bushkill Park & Grove has been a cornerstone of joy, laughter, and family memories in our community. Since 1902, generations of families have walked our historic midway, laced up their roller skates, and celebrated life’s milestones right on our grounds.
This September, we are inviting you to play a direct role in preserving that legacy while enjoying the most exciting weekend of the year!
We are thrilled to officially announce the Music in the Park Festival Fundraiser, happening from Friday, September 11th, through Sunday, September 13th, 2026.
🏗️ Our Preservation Goals
Every single dollar raised from gate admissions, event passes, and competitions goes directly toward two critical historical preservation projects:
The 100-Year-Old Whip Building: Fully restoring the structural integrity and mechanical engineering of this rare, historic ride.
The Carousel Banquet Hall: Continuing the beautiful interior refurbishment and aesthetic preservation of our beloved community hub.
Attached to this email, you will find a formal letter detailing how local individuals and businesses can sponsor our First Responders Day or contribute to our donation drives.

🎖️ Honoring Our Heroes: Special Appreciation Days
This festival is our way of giving back to those who support, protect, and care for us every single day. We are proud to feature dedicated appreciation programs with special gate perks all weekend long.
🩺 Friday, Sept 11th: Healthcare & Caregiving Appreciation Night
Celebrating every person who keeps our care facilities running—including the caregivers, kitchen teams, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel who are the heartbeat of care.
Who’s Invited: Residential & Community Care staff (nursing homes, assisted living, memory care, group homes, behavioral health), clinical teams (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, MAs, Physicians), support roles (dietary, housekeeping, laundry), and community health providers (home health, hospice, PT/OT/SLP, social workers).
The Perk: Show a valid work ID/badge at the gate on Friday night for $3.00 OFF admission!
🚒 Saturday, Sept 12th: First Responder Appreciation Night
Honoring both the visible and the often-invisible responders who protect our communities from the moment a call is placed until the scene is secure.
Who’s Invited: Emergency Services (firefighters, water rescue, EMTs, paramedics), Law Enforcement (police, sheriffs, troopers, corrections, constables), 911 Dispatchers, Specialized Rescue (SAR, Crisis Intervention, mental health response units), and Public Safety/Wildlife officers.
The Perks:
Donation-Only Entry: Present a valid service ID at the gate on Saturday for pay-what-you-wish admission!
Supporting the FRCC: 100% of Saturday’s raffle proceeds benefit the First Responder Chaplain Corps (FRCC), supporting vital mental and emotional wellness for those on the front lines.
Sept 11th – Sept 13th: Veteran & Active Military Appreciation Weekend
Since 1902, Bushkill Park has been part of the American story—a freedom you and your families protect.
Who’s Invited: Active duty, National Guard, Reserves, and Veterans of all branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force).
The Perk: FREE admission all weekend long for the veteran or active service member! (Just present a military ID or proof of service at the gate).
🗓️ Your Festival Itinerary
🌆 Friday, Sept 11th — Kickoff, DJ Battle, & Healthcare Night!
05:00 PM — Gates Open: Grab dinner from our very own Mom and Pops or head over to food truck lane, check out early-bird vendors, and enjoy sunset rides (weather permitting).
08:00 PM — The Battle of the DJs: The roller rink floor and Carousel Banquet Hall open! Watch local DJs go head-to-head in high-energy, 10-minute sets. Cast your paper ballot at the exit to crown the champion!
09:00 PM — 80s Lip Sync Showcase: A hilarious halftime show on the rink floor featuring iconic crowd-sourced anthems.
Admission: $10.00 at the gate (Includes park entry, the DJ Battle, and unlimited skating. Roller skate rentals are available for $2.00).
🏎️ Saturday, Sept 12th — First Responders Day & Decades Karaoke!
10:30 AM — Early-Bird Gates Open: Skip the afternoon crowds and get "first dibs" shopping access along our Vendor Lane!
11:00 AM — "Midway Morning Mic" Karaoke: Belt out your favorite 70s, 80s, or 90s hits on the Main Stage! ($10 entry fee to compete for prizes; $7 to spectate).
11:05 AM — Strict Gate Lock: The front gate locks temporarily to ensure our live morning tournament runs smoothly without interruption.
12:00 PM — General Admission Re-Opens ($5.00): Enjoy live bands, food trucks, family rides, and the grand opening of the "Cruisin' for a Cause" Car Show! (Pay-what-you-wish for First Responders).
💃 Sunday, Sept 13th — Veterans Day & "Bushkill Beats" Dance Showdown!
10:30 AM — Early-Bird Gates Open: Snag final VIP early-bird shopping access before the crowds arrive.
11:00 AM — "Bushkill Beats" Dance Battle: Dancers face off bracket-style on the historic hardwood rink floor! ($10 entry fee to compete; $7 to spectate).
11:05 AM — Strict Gate Lock: The front gate locks temporarily for the start of the tournament.
12:00 PM — General Admission Re-Opens ($5.00): Join us for a beautiful Sunday afternoon of live music, food, and family fun! (Free for Veterans and Active Military).

🚗 "Cruisin' for a Cause" Car Show
Time: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Saturday & Sunday)
Classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and custom trucks will pack the Grove!
Spectators: Completely FREE to view.
Exhibitors: Free to display, or pay a $20 registration fee to compete for custom trophies and the "People's Choice" award.
Grand Prize: The winner receives a FREE 2027 Bushkill Park Pavilion Party package!
