🐾 Lessons from Archie & Seamus (Happy National Dog Day!)

1. Rest without guilt.
2. Shake it off, literally.
3. Zoomies count as cardio.
4. Greet everyone like it’s the best day of your life.
5. Play is not optional.
6. Sniff first, react later.
7. Naps are a lifestyle, not a reward.
8. Ground yourself daily — a good roll in the grass never hurt anybody.
9. Stretch like your day depends on it (hello, downward dog).
10. A beach walk fixes almost everything.

Turns out the best life lessons come from a Yorkie and a Wheaten Terrier 🐾

Entry 02: Glimpses

Peaks of happiness. That’s what I’ve started to find again. Just a minute here or there. But it reminds me of me.

I’d forgotten myself for a bit. Or rather, I was drowning.

Right now, glimpses of smiles are everything.

Growing financially matters - I need that. But growing authentically matters more.

Jaws. Floatchella. Free events where I had so much fun I forgot to check if it was “working.” Didn’t earn the studio a dollar. Raised money for local charity. Brought a whole lot of new people into our orbit anyway.

I don’t do this for the glory. I do it for the good. And it feels good.

God keeps bringing new people to our door. I don’t know where He’s leading all of this, but I’ve stopped needing to know.

No enlightenment in this one. Just a gentle realization: life changes whether you’re ready or not. Relationships shift. My son is getting older. My dog is aging. My money’s getting tighter. My fears are getting louder. My friendships are deepening. Literally all the emotions, sometimes in the same day.

But let’s not hide. Not as a person, not as a business founder.

Dig the heels in and figure out - what am I doing?

If you’re in your own version of drowning right now, I hope this is a small reminder: the glimpses come back. Little by little, they come back.

Maybe that’s what Soulfish has always been for me - a place to ask those questions out loud. Maybe it’s that for you too.

🦈 What a night at Jaws on the Water! 🌊

Huge thanks to everyone who came out - the turnout was incredible and the crowd had an absolute blast. The movie looked and sounded amazing under the stars, and together we raised over $1,000 for the Children’s Recovery Center!

A massive shoutout to Sara J's Seafood Restaurant for hosting us, and to our amazing team for all the hard work setting up and breaking everything down.

We’ve already gotten requests to do more movie nights - so stay tuned, because this won’t be the last one!
