Balsam Ridge Traditions is BACK OPEN! 🌲🌿
I've spent the last little while working behind the scenes getting the website cleaned up, updating products, fixing some things that desperately needed fixing 😂 and getting everything ready to open the doors again.
The shop is back up with teas, tinctures, balms, oils, herbal goods and more. There is still plenty of new things still coming as we head into fall.
I also finally added From the Ridge to the website! This is where I'll be sharing Appalachian herbal knowledge, old timey skills, mountain traditions, recipes, things we're making by hand, and whatever else fits life here on the Ridge.
There's still plenty I'm working on (when is there not? 😂), but we're ready.

The website may still say we're closed for updates, but I promise I'm not just hiding behind the sign. 😂

I've spent a good chunk of today working behind the scenes on Balsam Ridge, cleaning things up, reorganizing the shop, rewriting some things that no longer felt quite right, and making the website feel a whole lot more like what I've always wanted Balsam Ridge Traditions to be.

There's still work to do before I take the “closed” sign down, but for the first time in a while, I feel like all the little pieces are starting to come together.

And I may have tucked a little something new into the website while I was at it. 👀

I'm hoping to have the doors back open later this week, but I'm not putting a date on it just yet. I want to do this right instead of doing it fast.

A little behind the scenes work happening today. 🌿
While the website is still down for its little tune up, I promise I haven’t been sitting still! Today’s project was getting the herb cabinet cleaned out, organized, and taking stock of what I have on hand before I start making and updating things for fall. Never mind my half starved sourdough starters, sitting there front and center🙈
Sometimes the not so glamorous work is what makes everything else run a whole lot smoother. 😂
We’ll be back online soon... and in the meantime, I’m still here and still working. ❤️

This summer cold is no joke.
So today the kitchen turned into the apothecary.
I restocked Little Lungs and Old Timey cough syrups, mixed fresh chest rubs for the little ones, middlin' ones and grown folks, and made sure the rest of our family herbal cabinet was ready to go.
Now the jars are filled, the herbs are put away, and this mama is officially calling it quits for the day. 🌿

Hubby made the questionable decision to turn me loose unsupervised at the farmers market today... 😂
Since we didn't get our garden in this year, we decided to support our local farmers instead. ❤️
Future Heather is going to be so thankful...
Present Heather? She's about to spend the next few days elbow deep in corn, tomatoes, peaches, and canning jars. 🌽🍅🥒🍓
