I am a DC/northern Virginia-based event coordinator with a side-chick passion for drawing, crafting, and all the like. Pretty much since day one, art has been my therapy and my vessel for creativity, humor, and not-quite-normal frame of thinking. I am constantly thirsting for stimulating inspiration in my professional life, personal outlook, and of course- my favorite hobby (which, just so we're c

lear, is drawing). You may be thinking that my art looks like glorified doodles, and sweetheart you're absolutely right! BUT I like to transform said doodles into unique designs that make people happy. (This also pans out better than the side of my notebook in the middle of meetings, so really everyone wins.) I just re-discovered these handpainted gingerbread guys and gals I made a couple years ago for my themed party! I think I turned these into a garland as part of the party decoration.

I got so much joy/therapy out of painting these and was pumped that young Katie left these in a random book for current me to find years later. Now time for me to see if young Katie left some cash in another book 🤞
