Thatโs right I said it ๐๐
Story time!!
One of the best decisions Iโve ever made was choosing myself over someone who treated me as an option ๐ฏ๐ฅ
It took some time for me to fully process this lesson because let me tell you it takes like ๐ฉ
But Iโm going to be the realest with you right now, after a year of going against my instincts and hoping things would play out differently I had to sit with how much I was losing myself.
I made a vow to myself with my best friend present that I would never lose me in order to keep someone else again ๐ฅ๐
I realized that I can still hold love in my heart for that person, but I NEED to love me more.
I canโt expect someone to show up in ways that Iโm not even able to for myself ๐ฏ๐ซ
So I locked in and spent the last 2 years becoming someone Iโm actually proud of, trust, respect, and love.
I realized that I had to let go of the dreams of this outdated version of me that was tied to them and create new ones that lit me up ๐ฏ๐
I had to figure out who I was without them and what made Chelsea uniquely magical.
Iโve been telling everyone for the last year that Iโve been on this path solidly for 3 years and, though thatโs not a lie, I really had to own the fact the first year was more or less a game of back and forth.
Like I knew I needed to lock in on my growth, but I wasnโt ready to let go of what I knew didnโt serve me anymore ๐๐
So love yourself enough to know when your presence isnโt valued and teach them how to value your absence instead ๐ฏ๐ฅ
I know I just told a whole ass story about a past relationship but this applies to friendships, family, work dynamics, anything where you feel youโre presence isnโt valued to the fullest extent ๐ฏ๐
You are capable of creating the life and the version of yourself that you dream of.
You just have to be willing to take the uncomfortable steps it takes to get there ๐ฅ๐ฆโ๐ฅ
Donโt let anyone, especially yourself, convince you otherwise.
Weโve got this loves ๐๐ธ
