All ancient systems of healing place the gut at the root cause of illness.

If you have been dealing with constipation, eczema, hormone imbalances, fatigue, insomnia, joint issues, anxiety, loose bowels, depression all of these experiences can be supported by focusing on your gut health.

Healing begins with lifestyle AND diet which is why I am sharing this FREE Masterclass at the special community center of Andes, NY called Catskills Harvest.

Catskills Harvest is run by dear friend Nicole Day.

Nicole specializes in federal food safety compliance, federal production plant design (slaughterhouses, meat processing establishments, craft beverage, cheese & dairy, general food production facilities, etc.), certified organic compliance, and agricultural infrastructure systems while focusing on bridging gaps between rural and urban diversified local food systems.

Nicole is also the founding officer of the Cheese & Dairy Society of NYS.

Learn with Arielle the Herbalist! I have been preparing weekly interactive learning content for those who have been asking me to share online herbalism classes. I am so excited to present and offer my lens of Herbal Medicine to the world. In the past I have offered 1 off classes but this time I am offering an engaging opportunity that is also a bit of mentorship. The deeper ways of herbalsim was gifted to me by my generous teachers, and the plants themselves. I am honored to offer and share the wisdom that lives deep inside all of us.

Why use herbs as medicine? Quick answer? Because, they work!
In my personal day to day I find my productivity is largely dependent on my mood. So I gravitate towards herbal allies that impact my mood.
I like to feel uplifted, centered, and focused.

One of my favorite warming winter tea blends for a good mood and focus is Gotu Kola Leaves, Lemon Balm Leaves, Sage leaves (salvia officianales), Licorice Root, Cinnamon Bark Powder, and after a 2 hour steep, I’ll add a tsp of marshmallow root powder at room temp. Ahhhh

Winter game face? Check. We are in the 30’s here in NYC! And no one wants to get sick, amirite?
Stay protected with a tasty anti-viral herbal blend to soothe the lungs in this cold dry air: Add a heaping teaspoon a) Licorice Root b) Mullein Leaf to a french press. Fill with just boiled water. Steep an hour. Strain in jar and add a teaspoon of Marshmallow Root powder. Mix well. (I don’t heat marshmallow root to retain the soothing mucilage properties). Drink 3 cups a day. Ginger Root is also optional if you enjoy 🍁💚
I am hosting two workshops for winter health and immunity both in the link in my bio. As well as slide 2/3 here. Please join !
is a full workshop dedicated to learning about our invisible superhero body function: the immune system.
is a free open ongoing informal discussion - you will leave with your own herbal blends! @ New York City

Heart attacks are some of the biggest killers for men and women. The Heart is a very vulnerable organ. For thousands of years from Buddhists, Daoists, Eqyptians, and across the globe, our emotional state and physically state have been inherently connected. The heart organ is the organ where if your emotional balances don’t necessarily start there - they will end there. The fire always lodges in the heart.
Worrying and the spleen? Brooding and mental indigestion. Grief and sadness affect the lungs. Or fear and self doubt, or self loathing affects the kidneys. Perhaps a lack of getting up and going, a lack of spark, motivation- this is with the liver. But in the end, it all affects the heart. This is why the heart is the seed of emotions and our mind “the shen” is indistinguishable from the heart. The heart is the mind. Emotional imbalances associated with other organs always move there. So how do we cool and calm the shen? Bitter / cooling herbs that are clearing heat from the heart. We have bitter taste receptors in the heart! Tasting bitter herbs is imparting this important action in the body. As I learned these patterns of disharmony from my teacher Richard Mandelbaum, he taught that even herbs not considered nervines are used to clear heat from the heart, and they happen to help with a calming nature too. Particularly herbs like our native COPTIS, seen here, can be used to clear heat from the heart.
The heart doesn’t doesn’t nourish us, but it calms us. Lifting the spirit can nourish the heart. Thanks you for wildcrafting COPTIS rich in Berberine for me to drink tomorrow along with my amazing mushrooms I will post about tomorrow🍄😇
