Birth preferences aren’t just for the delivery room, they’re for those tender postpartum moments, too.

From how you want to be supported in the golden hour, to your ideal recovery environment, pain management choices, newborn care wishes, and even how visitors (or no visitors!) fit into your space… your preferences help protect your peace, energy, and bonding time when you need it most.

If you’re preparing for birth (or even if you’re already navigating postpartum), comment BP below and I’ll send you my FREE Birth Preferences Guide.
It’s designed to help you reflect on what truly matters to you and communicate it clearly with your care team.

Movement during labor is so much more than a way to “pass the time.”

When you move your body during labor, you’re working with your contractions instead of against them.

Swaying, walking, lunging, squatting, rocking, or changing positions can help you navigate intense sensations, stay grounded in the present moment, and create more space for your baby to descend and rotate through the pelvis.

Research shows that upright and mobile positions during labor are associated with greater comfort, increased feelings of control, and can support the natural progress of labor.

Your body was designed with incredible wisdom. Sometimes the simplest question during labor is:

“What position feels right next?”

Trust YOUR answer.

Comment “TIPS” below and I’ll send you my FREE Labor Tips Guide packed with practical ways to stay comfortable, support labor progress, and work with your body during birth.

Hey mamas, let’s talk about something that feels like a little gift from your body near the end of pregnancy — lightening! 🌟
Around week 37 (give or take), a lot of us experience this magical moment when baby drops lower into your pelvis and “engages.” Suddenly your abdomen feels lighter, like the pressure has finally eased up. You can breathe deeper again, maybe even eat a proper meal without feeling like your stomach is being squished, and just overall get that sense of lightness and relief. It’s your body’s way of saying “hey, baby’s getting into position… they might be on the way soon!”
It’s wild how one shift can make such a big difference after months of carrying that beautiful weight.
Did you experience lightening with your pregnancy? Drop it in the comments — was it a huge relief or did it come with its own new quirks?

Ok pregnant Moms, was this your experience?

Some mothers notice that their babies are super active at certain times of the day or night.

Excitedly, they call their loved ones to come feel the baby movement, only to have the baby go “radio silent” when someone else touches their stomach.

Does this happen to you, or is it the opposite?

One of my favorite nervous system training exercises during pregnancy is the ice cube technique 👉 as shared by this Mama,

The goal of this exercise isn’t to “toughen up” or prove how much discomfort you can handle.

The goal is to practice staying present when your body experiences an intense sensation.

As you hold the ice, notice what happens.
Do you tense?
Hold your breath? Resist?
Try to escape the feeling?

Then practice something different.

Relax your jaw.
Soften your shoulders.
Breathe slowly.
Stay curious.
Allow the sensation to exist without fighting it.

Birth often asks us to do the same thing.

Not because contractions are the same as holding ice, but because the skill of meeting intensity with presence, rather than resistance, can be incredibly valuable during labor.

Have you done the ice cube exercise for birth preparation?

A mother’s love changes her.

Mothers give and give.

We love and sacrifice, hold and nurture, & from the moment our babies our born, we are forever altered.

Every time I look in the mirror and see tired eyes, fine lines from laughter and worry, gray hairs from aging and the stress of being a parent- I am also grateful for the endless love that brought me here.

To be loved is to be changed 💕

TAG your favorite Rebozo weavers in the comments so we can support their small businesses 🙏

The rebozo is a traditional woven shawl that originates from Mexico, where it has been used for generations as a practical garment, a baby carrier, a symbol of cultural identity, and a powerful tool in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.

In the birth world, the rebozo is often used to provide comfort, relaxation, and gentle support.

Through rhythmic movements, gentle sifting, counterpressure, belly support, and positioning techniques, it can help create comfort during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.

Three of my favorite ways to use a rebozo are:

🌙 Belly sifting over a birth ball/sofa.
Gentle rhythmic motion can help promote relaxation, release tension in the abdomen and pelvic floor, and provide a comforting sense of support.

🌙 Hanging squats.
Using a rebozo for balance and support allows mothers to move more freely, rest into deeper squatting positions, and work with gravity during labor while conserving energy.

🌙 Rebozo-assisted hip and pelvic support while resting.
Whether side-lying or reclining, the rebozo can provide gentle lifting and support to the hips, pelvis, and belly, creating comfort and helping mothers find positions that feel nurturing and sustainable.

Doulas, birth pros, artists, women, please tag your favorite rebozo weavers in the comments.

Breastfeeding 🤱🏽

Some mothers find the traditional breast-feeding positions slightly uncomfortable.

These are alternative positions that can help with things like:

• cesarean birth recovery
• a fast milk letdown
• larger breasts
• discomfort with baby’s latch

The breast-feeding journey can be challenging for some new mothers.
It’s important to listen to your instincts and do what feels best for you and your baby.

You are doing an amazing job and this is a new learning experience for both you and your little one.

Remember- practice = progress 💛

Were any of these your favorite breast-feeding positions?
