There aren't enough true friends that we come across in our lives that show you such unconditional love and kindness with a brilliant certainty that you, are their person. My baby girl, Lucy, was one such pupper dog. Lucy T***s, as we call her, was absolutely the most kind and sweet tempered dog that I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with. She loved meeting new dogs, and new people even more so. She gave licks without hesitation and recieved pets with reckless abandon. She slept alongside me for her 17 years here on God's earth. She greeted me every night I came home with cooings of happiness and doggy kisses of love.
She lived a courageous life where she survived major heart surgery at 3 months old, a botched spay surgery, the surgery to fix it the following day as well as a dog attack a few years after that.
Lucy had a passion for laying in sunbeams and moreso laying on my lap when I got home every night where she would nap while I gamed or watched TV. She loved watching out the front door and sometimes barking at passerby and walking outside, especially when there was a breeze.
Today, we said goodbye to my little baby girl. At 9:37am on Nov. the 6th, Lucy passed over the rainbow bridge. She was laying on my lap in her blanket while Kenzie and I comforted her and said our goodbyes. I was even able to give her some ever wanted ear scritches which she leaned into. She was loved fiercely and gave back so much more in return. I will miss you the rest of my days, my Lucy. Until we meet again in Heaven, dadas loves you.
