San Diego, we’re heading your way. 🌴

Alsana is preparing to expand our in-person eating disorder treatment community to the San Diego area, continuing our commitment to making individualized, Soul Hearted care more accessible.

As we build, we’re spending time in the community, listening to local providers, learning what is needed, and approaching this next chapter with intention.

We can’t wait to share more as this new Alsana community takes root.

For many patients, the outpatient provider is the person who has watched symptoms evolve over time, understands the support system, and can offer context that a single assessment may not capture. 🩺

That perspective matters when determining the right level of eating disorder care. Our newest blog explores why collaboration between outpatient providers and treatment programs can support more informed level-of-care decisions and greater continuity throughout recovery.

Our alumni resources reflect the Three Truths we want every person at Alsana to experience: Rooted. Engaged. Respected.

🌱 Rooted in the recovery work you’ve already done.
🤍 Engaged with a community that understands.

Sometimes, joy is found in the simplest moments. 🌱

A little sunshine, a little time in the garden and a chance for our team to slow down and enjoy being together outside of the everyday routine.

We’re grateful for the people who bring so much care to Alsana and for moments like these that help us stay connected too.

Choosing an eating disorder treatment program is one of the most important decisions a family can make.

While virtual treatment has expanded access to specialized care, it's important to remember that not every level of care is appropriate for every individual. Questions like medical stability, support at home, motivation for recovery, technology access, and clinical needs all play an important role in determining whether virtual treatment is the right fit.

The best treatment recommendation is always the one that's individualized, not the most convenient.

Our latest blog explores key questions families can consider while navigating treatment options and emphasizes the importance of comprehensive clinical assessments.

Is virtual eating disorder treatment actually effective? 💻

As virtual care has become a lasting part of the eating disorder treatment continuum, the research surrounding it has continued to grow. And so far, the findings are encouraging.

Research suggests virtual treatment can support meaningful progress for appropriately selected clients. But effective care isn’t about simply choosing virtual or in-person—it’s about matching each person with the right level of care and support.

In our latest blog, we take a closer look at what the research tells us about virtual PHP and IOP and what we’re continuing to learn as virtual treatment evolves.

Recovery isn't defined by perfection. It's built through countless everyday moments of choosing yourself again and again. 🌱

Long-term recovery doesn't mean life becomes free of challenges. It means developing the skills, support, and confidence to navigate those challenges without allowing the eating disorder to take control.

Healing often looks different than people expect. It can include rebuilding relationships, discovering new passions, finding joy in movement, celebrating flexibility around food, and creating a life that aligns with your values.

Every recovery journey is unique, and every step forward deserves to be celebrated. Our newest blog explores what long-term recovery can look like and why healing extends far beyond treatment.
