If you have a loved one in recovery, preparing for school starts now. šŸ“š

For adolescents in treatment, the transition back to the classroom can bring a unique set of challenges: new routines, academic pressure, and shifting social dynamics. Getting ready ahead of that transition can make a meaningful difference.

Our four-week Back-to-School Blueprint is designed to support confidence, structure, and continued recovery. Through daily therapeutic programming, skill-building, and individualized support, clients have the opportunity to strengthen coping strategies, build resilience, and practice navigating real-life situations in a supportive environment.

With both in-person and virtual options, this program meets adolescents where they are, helping them return to school feeling more grounded, prepared, and supported.

Recovery doesn’t always happen in one setting. It happens across moments, environments, and levels of care.

For adolescents, that transition can be especially important. In-person Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) often serve as a critical bridge, offering the structure and clinical support needed to continue healing, while also allowing space to begin reconnecting with everyday life.

At Alsana, our Westlake Village Adolescent PHP is designed to meet clients where they are. It supports whole-person healing through our Recovery Story framework and honors the complexity of this stage of healing.

Sometimes, the most meaningful progress happens in the in-between, when recovery begins to take root in everyday life.

When summer creates space, healing can follow. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

For many individuals and families, the shift in routine that summer brings can open the door to something new: a chance to step back, reset, and focus more fully on recovery. Without the daily pressures of school or a packed schedule, there’s often more room to engage in meaningful, consistent care.

Our two- and four-week intensive programs are designed to meet that moment. With structured daily programming, individualized support, and a multidisciplinary approach, clients are able to build momentum in their recovery while staying connected to real life.

This is a time for strengthening skills, deepening insight, and creating a foundation that can carry forward into the months ahead. Progress doesn’t have to wait. With the right support, it can take root in powerful ways.

If you or someone you love could benefit from a more focused level of care this summer, we’re here to help you explore what that next step could look like.

Recovery doesn’t happen all at once. 🌼

Not in a straight line. Not on a fixed timeline. But in quiet moments, small shifts, and steady steps forward that begin to take root over time.

This season, we’re reflecting on growth, healing, and hope. On the ways recovery can feel fragile and strong all at once. The moments that don’t always get seen but matter deeply. The courage it takes to keep going, even when it’s hard.

Wherever you are in your journey, know that your process is your own. It’s worthy of patience, care, and compassion.

If you’re ready to take the next step, or simply want to learn more about what recovery can look like, we’re here. šŸ’›

Mother’s Day can hold many emotions. 🩶

For some, it’s a day of celebration and gratitude. For others, it may bring up grief, complexity, or quiet reflection. And for many, it’s a mix of all of these at once.

At Alsana, we recognize that the role of a mother—or any caregiver—is deeply meaningful, but it can also feel heavy at times. The care, the worry, the constant showing up… it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Whether you’re supporting a loved one in recovery, navigating your own healing, or simply moving through today in the way that feels right for you, we’re here. With compassion, with understanding, and with support when it’s needed most.

Today, we honor all forms of care, including the visible and the unseen, and the strength it takes to keep showing up, even on the hard days.

If today feels heavy, you’re not alone. And if today feels joyful, we celebrate with you.

Here's a look back at meaningful moments from the Utah Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in March. As always, we're grateful for opportunities to connect, learn, and continue shaping the future of eating disorder care.

At Alsana, our values aren’t just something we name. They’re something we practice. Every day.

In this conversation, our executive leadership team shares the heart behind our value system: how it was created, why it matters, and how it shapes the way we show up—for our clients and for one another.

Rooted in listening and lived experience, these values are meant to be felt, not just understood. They guide us in the moments that are easy and especially in the ones that aren’t.

✨ Clinical Integrity
✨ Wholeheartedness
✨ Mutual Respect
✨ Thoughtful Engagement
✨ Rooted Reliability

Together, they create a culture grounded in accountability, authenticity, and care, where healing can take shape and connection can grow.

What happens when the body itself changes through chronic illness, disability, or medical trauma?

For many individuals, recovery isn’t just about food or behaviors. It’s about rebuilding trust in a body that may feel unfamiliar, unpredictable, or even unsafe.

In this upcoming webinar with Tamie Gangloff, MA, MFT, we’ll explore how clinicians can support eating disorder recovery within the context of complex medical realities, centering resilience, compassion, and a deeper understanding of the lived experience.

Every recovery story begins somewhere. šŸ“–

Sometimes, it begins with a parent searching for support. Other times, it begins with a provider hoping to connect a young person with the right level of care.

At Alsana, we believe adolescents deserve spaces where they can begin healing with compassion, structure, and understanding.

We’re preparing to expand services at our Westlake Village outpatient location with a new in-person Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adolescents, and we are now accepting inquiries as we move toward launch.

If you’re a family looking for guidance or a provider seeking a trusted place to refer, our team is here to help.
