Congratulations to our Pharmacist, Dr. Samantha Ervin.

is proud to announce that Dr. Samantha Ervin has been named the Rural Employee of the Year! Dr. Ervin serves as a pharmacist at the Upper Tanana Health Center in Tok, Alaska, where she provides exceptional care to the communities of the Upper Tanana region.

Sam is an extraordinary pharmacist whose dedication to her patients. Sam demonstrates Ch’eghwtsen’ every day through the care she provides and the relationships she builds with patients, families, and colleagues.

Her roots run deep in the Upper Tanana region, proudly calling both Tok and Northway home. Sam represents the very best of Tanana Chiefs Conference’s “grow your own” philosophy—a true Native daughter of the Upper Tanana region who has returned her knowledge and skills to serve her people.

Dr. Ervin is a highly skilled, board-certified pharmacist with outstanding clinical knowledge and expertise. Her excellence in the field was recently recognized statewide when she was named Alaska Pharmacist of the Year by the Alaska Pharmacy Association, one of the profession’s highest honors.

Today, Sam is not only a trusted healthcare provider but also a respected leader at Upper Tanana Health Center. Her colleagues look to her for her clinical insight, her moral compass, and her deep understanding of the people she serves—an understanding that runs through her bone marrow and DNA.
