There are some things in the salon industry that are just downright TERRIFYING… 👻

Ghosts? Nope. 👻
Creepy noises in the woods? Nah. 🌲

🎓 HAIR SCHOOL WITH HEIDI — GLP-1 EDITION

Does a GLP-1 actually cause hair loss? 🤔 Not exactly.

For many people, the bigger issue is what’s happening to the body while taking it — especially rapid weight loss, eating fewer calories, lower protein or nutrient intake, and the physical stress of a major body change.

That stress can push more hairs than usual into the resting/shedding phase, causing a temporary type of shedding called telogen effluvium. And here’s the tricky part… you may not notice the shedding until a few months after the trigger. 😳

So if you’re taking a GLP-1 and suddenly seeing WAY more hair in your brush or shower, don’t automatically blame the medication itself. Your hair may be responding to the changes happening inside your body.

This one is SO fun. 🤎🖤✨

Calico hair is all about bold contrast, unexpected placement, and letting each color have its own moment. I mixed rich brunette, deep black, warm copper, and pops of blonde to create a look that changes depending on which way the hair moves.

No perfectly blended, play-it-safe color here. 😏 Each section was intentionally placed so the colors stay defined instead of melting into one another—and I’m obsessed with how it turned out.

A little edgy. A little rebellious. And definitely not boring. 🤘🔥

😂 Learning is important… but apparently so is having a little fun while we do it!

Around here, education doesn’t always look like sitting quietly with a textbook. Sometimes it looks like laughing, getting put on the spot, testing what you know, and maybe wondering what I’m going to pull out next. 😂 Kenzie is learning, I’m teaching, and we’re making some pretty great memories along the way. Hair school with Heidi: Apprentice Edition—because if we’re going to learn, we might as well have fun doing it. 💇🏼‍♀️📚✂️
