I've been sitting here looking over the lineup of speakers for this weekend's Luxury Business Retreat, and I just have to say… WOW. ❤️
I am genuinely so impressed by the people who have committed to being part of this event.
Some of these people I've known for years. Others I'm just getting to know. But what they all have in common is that they've invested their time, money, energy, and experience into becoming REALLY good at what they do. And now they're willing to share that with the rest of us.
I don't think we always recognize how valuable that is.
As a business owner myself, I know what it's like to invest thousands of dollars into education, make mistakes, figure things out the hard way, take risks, and keep going when things don't go according to plan.
And I also know how valuable it is to learn from someone who has already walked a path you're interested in exploring.
Sometimes ONE conversation can save you years of frustration. Or introduce you to an opportunity you didn't even know existed.
That's one of the reasons I love bringing people together so much.
You just never know who you're going to meet or what might come from it.
Maybe it's a future business partner. A new client. A mentor. Someone who becomes a dear friend. Or someone who has a completely different perspective that gets you thinking about things in a new way.
I've watched those connections happen over and over again at my events, and it never gets old.
And honestly, some of the best things that happen aren't even part of the scheduled classes!
They happen over lunch, standing in line, visiting a vendor booth, or sitting next to someone you didn't know when you walked in.
I think sometimes we get so busy running our businesses, taking care of our families, and keeping up with all the things that we forget how important it is to get OUT of our usual routines and spend time around people who inspire us.
People who are creating things. Trying new ideas. Learning. Growing. And willing to share what they've discovered along the way.
And not just people who are further along in business than we are, either.
Of course, the 37,000 sq ft mansion called the Cedar Rose Estate is absolutely gorgeous, and we've planned some really fun experiences. But the PEOPLE are what make this event so valuable to me.
I love that we're creating an environment where you can attend a class, enjoy an experience, explore the mansion, shop, relax, or spend an hour having a meaningful conversation with someone new.
There's no need to rush from one thing to another or feel like you have to do everything.
I want people to have the time and opportunity to actually CONNECT.
And to our speakers… I really hope you know how much I appreciate you.
I know what goes into preparing to teach, putting yourself out there, and sharing your knowledge with others. It takes time, effort, and commitment. I'm grateful that you've chosen to spend your Saturday with us.
I'm excited for people to get to know you beyond your business name, your title, or the class you're teaching.
Because there's so much more to each of you than what's written in a speaker bio. ❤️
I have a feeling some really wonderful things are going to come out of this weekend.
Don't just come for the classes. Come for the PEOPLE who will be there.
Introduce yourself. Ask questions. Share what you're working on. Be interested in what others are creating.
