Be Alive: A Summer Solstice Retreat
A day of connection to the land, our bodies, spirit, and one another.
On the longest day of the year, join us in celebrating the sun, tending the seeds planted in spring, and clearing away anything that no longer serves us.
The Summer Solstice invites life to be fully lived. As the sun reaches its peak, we are propelled into a season of action, celebration, vitality, and inner radiance.
Join us in Bear Wallow on Mount Lemmon for a half-day retreat devoted to deepening our relationship with the land, ourselves, and each other.
We will begin promptly at 10:00 AM with an opening ceremony where each participant is invited to bring a small organic offering for the land as a gesture of gratitude and reciprocity for our time together. From there, we will move into a lightly guided walking meditation to help us orient ourselves to the land, our bodies, and the collective space we are creating.
Following the meditation, Aubrey will guide an Astro-Wisdom session exploring the current movement of the stars and the energetic themes of the season.
We will then break for lunch for approximately one hour. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch, along with a dish or snack to share if desired. Solstice tea will be provided.
After lunch, we will return to the space through conscious movement, an invitation to reconnect with the body and move in ways that feel authentic and alive. We will then gather for an Animist Sermon led by Adun, exploring animism, embodiment, and the spirit of summer.
To close our time together, we will rest beneath the trees and receive a grounding sound healing journey.
This retreat will take place outdoors in a dispersed natural area with no bathrooms or facilities available. Please come prepared with everything you may need for the day, including water, food, sunscreen, bug spray, seating or blankets, yoga mats, and any personal comfort items. We ask all participants to honor and respect the land throughout our gathering and follow Leave No Trace protocols.
