🔬 Exciting new research is adding to the growing list of potential benefits associated with GLP-1 medications.

According to a recent study presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), patients taking GLP-1 medications experienced lower rates of cancer progression in several obesity-related cancers, including breast, lung, colorectal, and liver cancers. Researchers observed reductions in the risk of cancer advancing to later stages, though additional studies are needed to better understand the relationship.

While GLP-1 medications are best known for helping with weight loss and blood sugar control, scientists continue to explore their effects on inflammation, metabolism, and overall health. These findings are promising, but it's important to remember that the research is still ongoing and does not prove that GLP-1 medications directly prevent or treat cancer.
