COACHES & ATHLETIC STAFF, I NEED YOUR PERSPECTIVE.

You see things athletes and parents may not.

I’m conducting the College Athletics Readiness Study and looking for at least 50 coaches and athletic professionals who work with high-school student-athletes to share what they’re seeing.

The survey is anonymous and takes about 5–7 minutes.

Take the Coach/Athletic Staff Survey:

And I need your network too. Send this directly to another coach, AD, counselor, trainer, or athletic professional.

Help me get to 50!

🤎 Pregnancy can bring joy, uncertainty, stress, and many other emotions. It is okay to admit when things feel overwhelming—and it is always okay to ask for help.

Persistent sadness or hopelessness, severe anxiety, withdrawing from others, feeling trapped or like a burden, and thoughts of death or self-harm are warning signs that additional support may be needed.

Please talk with someone you trust, contact your healthcare provider, and accept support when you need it. You do not have to handle this alone.

If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, call or text 988 for immediate crisis support. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

Your mental health matters during pregnancy and beyond. 🤎

💙 Be the person who checks in.

You don’t need perfect words to support someone who may be struggling. A simple, sincere question—“How are you, really?”—can create a safe space for an honest conversation.

Listen without judgment. Take their feelings seriously. Stay connected. Help them find professional support. Most importantly, remind them they do not have to face this alone.

Instead of saying, “Just think positive,” try:

💙 “I’m glad you told me.”
💙 “I’m here with you.”
💙 “Let’s find support together.”

A conversation can be the first step toward healing. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

🧡 You are not alone. Help is here.

The postpartum period can bring many emotions, but persistent sadness, hopelessness, overwhelming anxiety, withdrawal, or thoughts of harming yourself or your baby should never be ignored.

Check on the mothers in your life—and ask, “How are you, really?” Listen without judgment, offer practical help, and encourage professional support. Your presence could make a life-changing difference.

Healing is possible. Hope is real. You deserve support before, during, and after pregnancy.

If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, call or text 988 for immediate support. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
