I had so much fun meeting such amazing humans. It’s such a breath of fresh air to be surrounded by like minded women with the same goals. I can’t wait to meet up with you all again and strategize on how we can better support mamas and families. Thank you Woven Within Birth Collective for the opportunity! ❤️

To every birth worker who took time out of your busy life to join us, thank you. Thank you for showing up with open hearts, for sharing your stories, your wisdom, your challenges, and your hopes for the future of birth in our community. It means so much that you chose to spend your evening with us.

As we settled into the circle and shared our stories, we were reminded why we started these gatherings in the first place. Every person in the room brings something unique to the birth community, but we all share the same heart: serving women and families with compassion.

This is exactly what we hoped the Birth Circle would become. Not another networking event, but a place where relationships can grow and where birth workers can feel known, supported, and united by a shared purpose.

We’re so grateful for each of you who showed up, shared a piece of your story, and helped make the evening what it was. We truly believe that as we continue building relationships with one another, our birth community will become stronger, and the families we serve will feel the impact.

Thank you for being part of it. We already can’t wait for the next one! 🤍🌿

P.S. How fitting that our second Birth Circle fell on the International Day of Friendship!!! Here’s to new friendships, deeper connections, and the many more we’ll make along the way. 🫶

🌎🤱 Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

Breastfeeding is more than nutrition. It is an investment in healthier families, stronger communities, and a healthier world. Supporting breastfeeding helps improve infant and maternal health, reduces healthcare costs, and gives babies the healthiest possible start in life.

At the InfantRisk Center, we're proud to support that mission every day. Every phone call we answer, every medication we evaluate, every resource we create, and every healthcare professional we educate helps parents make informed, evidence based decisions. When families have access to accurate information, they are empowered to continue breastfeeding safely and confidently when it is right for them.

This week, we're celebrating the healthcare professionals who make that possible!

🎉 GIVEAWAY! 🎉

To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, we're giving away a 3 month subscription to the InfantRisk HCP App, your trusted resource for evidence based medication safety information during pregnancy and lactation.

Just download the app from your app store and you should be good to go. Let us know if you have any issues, and we'll be happy to help.

Together, we can ensure that every family has access to the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions about breastfeeding.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! 💙

I’ve always believed that every family deserves someone in their corner.

That’s why I’m opening up my phone for our community.

If you have a quick question about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, pumping, newborn feeding, or postpartum recovery, you can call or text me.

No question is too small.
No question is too “embarrassing.”
No question is too silly.

Sometimes all you need is someone to say, “Yes, that’s normal,” or “I think you should get that checked.”

I want to be that trusted friend for our community.

Whether you’re pregnant with your first baby, navigating your fourth, wondering if labor has started, worried about a latch, trying to figure out pumping, or just need reassurance, I’m here.

If I can answer your question in a quick text or phone call, I happily will.

If your situation needs more in-depth support, I’ll let you know and we can talk about scheduling a consultation. And if something sounds urgent or like a medical emergency, I’ll always encourage you to contact your healthcare provider or seek emergency care right away.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

📱 Call or text me anytime with your quick questions:
(636) 388-9267

Because every family deserves support.

**This line is not intended for medical emergencies. If you or your baby have an emergency, call 911 or contact your healthcare provider immediately.

Not every intervention is unnecessary. Many are lifesaving when there’s a clear medical need.

But when interventions become routine instead of individualized, they can start a cascade.

A labor that’s progressing normally is augmented. Contractions become stronger and closer together. Pain intensifies. An epidural becomes more likely. Blood pressure drops. Baby may show signs of stress. More monitoring. More restrictions. More interventions. Eventually, someone says, “Your body just isn’t doing what it should.”

Sometimes the “problem” wasn’t the body—it was the cascade.

This doesn’t happen in every birth, and interventions are often the right choice. The goal isn’t to avoid every intervention at all costs. The goal is ensuring that every intervention has a clear medical indication, that parents receive true informed consent, and that physiologic birth is protected whenever it’s safe to do so.

Birth works best when we respect physiology, use interventions thoughtfully, and remember that “routine” doesn’t always mean “necessary.”

Every family deserves evidence-based care, informed choices, and support that honors both safety and autonomy.

Have you ever heard of the intervention cascade before? Share your thoughts below.

Everyone talks about healthy mom, healthy baby.

And yes—that matters.

But what if we aimed for more?

-A mother who feels heard.
-A baby welcomed into a calm environment.
-A labor that’s supported instead of rushed.
-Consent that is truly informed.
-Care that respects your values, even when your choices differ from someone else’s.

Birth isn’t just about the outcome.
It’s about how you got there.

Every family deserves respectful, evidence-informed care where they are given accurate information, time to ask questions, and the freedom to make decisions that align with their goals.

Because years from now, you’ll remember more than your baby’s birthday.
You’ll remember how you were treated.
