Sometimes you might not feel like what you do matters. But keep going. Someone is watching and waiting for the right opportunity to give you your flowers.

It may be a stranger, a new client, a colleague or an associate who will finally see you and experience the magic that you bring to the world. So keep showing up. Not necessarily on social media, but in your gift. And it will create room for you.

What is my biggest pet peeve?
I can't work in a messy room. Cleanliness and presentation matters to me. There's no way I can feel comfortable walking a client into a room that I would not want to be in.

So, of course, I had to redo the whole room.

When you share a space with someone, there will be differences in priorities. My priority is to ensure that my clients are comfortable with me and in the space. Because without that comfort, their nervous system will stay in "fight or flight" mode.

Tell me. Does cleanliness matter? Is appearance important? Or am I doing too much?

It Goes Without Saying...

We all know that teaching is not for the weak, but neither is massage therapy. The trade off for dedicating more than two decades to an impactful profession is that I transitioned to another impactful field that aligns with my vision and purpose.

But here's what matters most:
-I have no regrets.
-I'm not stressed.
-I don't take work home.
-I'm finally able to do the job I am trained to do and be
appreciated for it.
-My clients come to me with a goal and we
collaborate to achieve it together.
-There's no argument about being underpaid and
overworked.

How did I end up inside Macy's before opening hours?

While others want to be treating their clients all day inside a suite, I prefer to take my massage practice on the road.
Here's why.
For over 2 decades I was stuck within the 4 walls of a classroom as an educator. Although I was passionate about the important work I did to impact the lives of my students and their families, it crippled me socially. My important job consumed my life. But I didn't understand how much my routine had affected my social life until I started my massage therapy practice.

I began to hear about how lonely the life of a massage therapist can be and I didn't sign up for that. I made a decision to change that by getting out into the suite life quickly, and into corporate and public spaces. That's how I ended up here before opening hours at my first Macy's Event.

What's Your Favorite Place to Get a Therapeutic Massage?

What makes a place your favorite?
Is it the place or is it the people?

Maybe it's the energy or the vibe.

For me, it's always about how I feel about the place and the people. They combine to emit an energy which creates a vibe that determines the connection.

Whether I go to see my clients, or my clients come to see me, I always want them to feel safe with me first. When that happens, we can embark on the journey to heal together.

I create space for my clients to let go their stress and tension, support their processing of life experiences such as trauma and grief, recover from muscle fatigue, injury and surgery, and find comfort in difficult times.

You cannot disrupt my flow. You are not an inconvenience. I listen without judgment. My focus is to support you as your massage practitioner.
