The 2026 Wisconsin Rural Health Conference kicked off with generational expert and thought leader Phil Gwoke. In his session, "GenHealth: Navigating Generational Dynamics in Healthcare," Phil shared insights into how different generations prefer to communicate, engage and build trust in care settings, and how health care providers can approach interactions with empathy and greater generational awareness.

Fun fact: dropping blood pressure by 10 points lowers your risk of cardiovascular event by roughly 20%. After the presentation we enjoyed an update on the work that WAPA is doing.
