My favorite way to chart and prepare feeding plans for our sweet families: comfy clothes, fresh air, back deck therapy, and a snuggly pup keeping me company while I work ☀️🐾

I’m so excited to officially welcome Julia Petty to the Hub City Lactation team! 💛

Julia is a local pilates/yoga instructor, doula, and mama with such a calm, kind presence and heart for supporting families. She brings warmth, organization, and a genuine passion for helping others, and I’m so happy to have her joining the team.

Julia will be helping us behind the scenes with scheduling, client communication, admin support, and helping things flow smoothly for the families we serve.

Lately, we’ve been seeing a wave of babies presenting with similar patterns…

✨ extra gas
✨ frequent spit ups
✨ feedings that just feel off

And more often than not, it’s not supply. It’s air. 💨

When babies take in extra air during feeds, it can affect their comfort, feeding efficiency, and even weight gain. Small shifts in positioning, latch, pacing, and oral function can make a world of difference.

“We made it to 6 months breastfeeding! Halfway to our 1 year goal! She is growing and thriving!”

We absolutely love receiving updates like this! Random pictures and videos, milestones, first birthdays, Christmas outfits, we love them all! It means the world to us to see our families continue to grow and thrive long after graduation. 🥰

This work is so heartwarming and fulfilling. Every family holds a very special place in our hearts.

Little graduate! 🎓 Look how far you've come! 🎉

"If you want a truly positive, encouraging, judgment free, safe space to get help with feeding your baby in any kind of way (not just breastfeeding), you HAVE to go see Jada Spencer or Nicole at Hub City Lactation!!

Our breastfeeding journey started out with a 4 day NICU stay, a lip tie, an anterior and posterior tongue tie, 2 cheek ties, so much pain, and so many tears! Through Hub City Lactation we were able to have all of his ties released, and Jada was there to help us through the whole recovery with breastfeeding support, wound care, and weight checks to be sure he’s where he needs to be.

Today Easton “graduated” and is now pretty much exclusively breastfed (minus the occasional bottle so mama can get some sleep 😅)! I know for a fact that I would have given up without their help and support. 🥹

If you’re on the fence about seeking lactation help, let me be what convinces you!!! My only regret is not getting in with them sooner. I’m so grateful for this bonding experience with my baby. 🥹"

Today was a great day here at Hub City Lactation, and days like today remind me how much I love what I do.

There are so many things I love about being an IBCLC. I love working with babies and helping families thrive. But one thing I didn’t expect was how much I would love being an IBCLC mentor.

Becoming an IBCLC is a long and demanding path that requires years of education, clinical hours, and dedication. Watching Jada grow in her skills and confidence has been such an honor to witness.

Mentorship is how we grow the next generation of IBCLCs, and I’m incredibly proud of the IBCLC Jada is becoming. 💛
