Someone is going to walk into this room carrying a lot more than I can see.
I’ve learned that over and over again.
I’ve had women sit in this room who are the ones everyone else depends on. They take care of their children, their parents, their husbands, their work, their homes. They remember the appointments, solve the problems, make sure everyone is okay.
And then I ask, “What feels right for you right now?”
Sometimes they actually have to think about it.
Because when you spend so much of your life paying attention to what everyone else needs, you can get pretty far away from listening to yourself.
That’s something I think about when I prepare this room for the day.
I never really know what someone is bringing through that door. Stress, grief, pain, exhaustion, fear, or simply years of being the one who keeps everything together.
So yes, I prepare the room, the table, the tuning forks, the frequencies.
But more than anything, I prepare a space where, for a little while, you don’t have to take care of anyone else.
You can just be here and listen to what feels right for you.
