Today, we celebrate National Doctors’ Day by recognizing and thanking two incredible healthcare professionals right here at Fitness Forum Sports & Wellness—Dr. Byron Holm and Nurse Practitioner Lisa Jones! 💚💜👨⚕️👩⚕️
Every day, doctors show up for their patients, their community, and the future of healthcare. They lead with purpose, advocate for equity, and deliver care that truly changes—and saves—lives. We are proud to say that Dr. Holm and Nurse Practitioner Lisa Jones embody all of this and more.
We asked them three questions: how long they’ve been practicing, their favorite thing to do at Fitness Forum, and their best fitness & wellness advice.
Nurse Practitioner Lisa Jones shared that she has been a Nurse Practitioner for 27 years! Her favorite part of Fitness Forum is teaching the early 5:30 AM classes and staying active alongside the amazing people who attend. Her advice?
“Everything in moderation. If there is something you love to eat, have it—in moderation! Exercise and be active, but don’t let it consume your priorities.”
Dr. Byron Holm has been practicing medicine for over 51 years, and this July will mark his 52nd year in the field—an amazing milestone! He enjoys connecting with members and staying active, especially walking on the indoor track and riding the stationary recumbent bikes. His advice reminds us all:
“Exercise is known to extend life—both quality and quantity.”
At Fitness Forum Sports & Wellness, we truly believe that exercise is medicine.
Please join us in thanking Dr. Holm and Nurse Practitioner Lisa Jones for their dedication, passion, and the positive impact they make every day—not only within our facility, but throughout our entire community.
