We are now just beginning to wake up to the fact that the synthetic chemical cocktails we encounter during the course of a lifetime—hairsprays, cosmetics, deodorants, polishes, detergents, toothpastes, perfumes, aftershaves, first aid treatments, medicines, air fresheners, etc.—are systematically weakening our bodies. It is undeniable that our health is beginning to suffer. Where will it all end?

One such chemical is fluorine, which is part of a group known as perflourinated chemicals or PFC. They are also in a group known as PFAS, PFOA, and PFOS. You may be familiar with these abbreviations from firefighting foam used in airports and other various areas. (((This firefighting foam was initially used on the Chemtool fire)))

“Researchers tested more than 230 commonly used cosmetics and found that more than half of foundations, eye products, lip products, and mascaras contained high levels of PFAS,” as stated in this news report. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences states there are more than 4,700 PFAS chemicals, and many are used in daily use products. Joseph Mercola, in an article, stated that many products that have these harmful chemicals are labeled “long-lasting” or “wear resistant.”
