Grace needed new transportation and our team came up with a solution she loved, an e-bike, and helped her apply for a voucher program. Just one problem was left: What about Grace’s service dog, Freddy the bulldog? Our team found a way to help. Today, Grace and Freddy are back on the road! For more about Grace and Freddy’s journey, visit www.mves.org/paws-pedals-and-a-fresh-start

Meet Grace and Freddy. Freddy is Grace’s service dog, and the two can often be spotted around town. After her car was badly damaged in a crash, Grace was concerned […]

Our team celebrated Haitian Heritage Month with a special event organized by our Home Care and HR departments. We enjoyed Haiti’s rich flavors with a lunch from La Perle Restaurant in Everett and explored the country’s history, art and culture with displays from Loretta Legacy. If you’re unfamiliar with Haiti’s history, be sure to check it out. It's considered the only nation ever founded by a revolt of enslaved people — a lengthy struggle that included forcing Napoleon’s troops to withdraw. Haiti became a beacon of hope for other people living under colonial oppression. Learn more at www.britannica.com/topic/history-of-Haiti

A room full of people focused on empowering independence for older adults and adults with disabilities — it’s a special thing. We look forward to hosting our Provider Fair every year. It’s a chance for the Mystic Valley team to explore new services, tools and resources that support the people we serve, while creating and building connections with providers. Thank you to all who attended!

The nurses of Mystic Valley Elder Services are passionate about the care they provide, the patients they support and the importance of health education. We’re proud to recognize them every May during National Nurses Month.

Florence Nightingale’s birthday is celebrated during National Nurses Week, and our team celebrates with old-fashioned nursing caps and a cake for Florence. It’s a chance to show our Nursing Team how much we value all that they do.

This year, we also held a re-pinning ceremony. Nurses are pinned early in their careers, a tradition that Florence began. Re-pinning was a special way to recognize our team’s dedication and compassion.

Thank you to our fantastic Nursing Team. Thanks also to our Board members Karen Fotino and Carole Lowenstein, who both come from the nursing field, for helping make it a special day for our team.
