Our Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center team leads with expertise, compassion, and dedication, working on this and every day to help our patients thrive.
Our team delivers holistic, coordinated care at every stage of pediatric care, including newborn screening follow-up, education and counseling for hemoglobin disorders, transcranial Doppler stroke screening, and ongoing organ function monitoring. We support patients beyond the clinic with school liaisons and psychosocial care, while providing advanced treatments such as optimized hydroxyurea dosing, blood transfusions, and evaluation for bone marrow transplant and gene therapy. Through our research partnerships with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), we expand access to novel and emerging therapies. We also have active training and research programs in the Caribbean and sub-Saharan Africa, improving the lives of children with sickle cell disease around the world.
We combine the strength of a leading research center with a personalized approach, building meaningful relationships with patients and families to tailor care for this complex disease.
