We love using our fleeces that are full of vm for potted plants. Utilizing wool on the bottom of the pot helps with water retention. We find potted plants with wool grow better and need less watering.

Medium wool is a useful fiber that is easy to work with and you can get some amazing results! This cardigan took about a year to make, it is mostly Suffolk wool with a little bit of crossbred wool. It was hand processed from raw fleece in to yarn and then crocheted in to a cardigan. The pattern used was the Wish Upon a Star Cardigan by Briana k Designs.

Cheviot fleeces:
SOLD-Bambi-this ladies fleece was champion commercial fleece last fall at WI Sheep and Wool Festival. There is some length variation as she was fitted for showing last summer. She got into some sticky seeds last fall so there are still some of those in her fleece, along with some hay. She has a 3-4 inch staple length. $7.00/lb-SOLD

Baby Roo- Was a bit squirrelly for shearing and her fleece picked up some extra VM off the ground. She also got into the seeds in the fall, and has hay in her fleece. She has a 3-4 inch staple length. $4.00/ lb

Misty- Raised two lambs this spring, they made sure to add extra VM. She has some length variations as she was fitted last summer for show. Also got into seeds, and has some hay in the fleece. She has a 3-4 inch staple length. $3.00/ lb

Kanga- Raised two lambs who love to sleep on her back this spring. She also was in the weeds in fall. There are some second cuts and lots of VM in this fleece. Her staple length is 2.5-3 inches. $3.00/ lb

Baby Wombat- He is the ram. He ate out of a hanging hay feeder all winter so there is quite a bit of VM. He was fitted for show last summer and got into the weeds in fall. His staple length is 3 inches. $3.00/ lb
