Hannah had her first chemo treatment this time around this past Friday. She woke up to some of her hair falling out already and it’s only the 2nd day since chemo. So she decided to go ahead and shave her head tonight. Hannah did not like her hair on her but she did it! Even though she’s been really tired she’s been pushing through! Thank you everyone for the continued prayers and love you all send.

It’s been a minute for an update on our girl Hannah and I’m sorry for the lateness.
Hannah had an appointment Monday July 13th where we were told the biopsy results from her surgery on June 19th. The results from the biopsy are it’s the same cancer that Hannah has had every time Juvenile Granulosa Cell Tumor. The plan for treatment is to start chemotherapy within the next two weeks (well it will be this Friday she starts chemotherapy as of this morning) using Carboplatin and Paclitaxel chemotherapy drugs along with a new blood test called CTDNA. CTDNA test is a blood test that detects the DNA from the tumors she has had as our bodies break down and reuse DNA it shows up in our blood. It can detect if she still has DNA from the tumors in her blood and once the blood test results come out with two consecutive zeros in a row she’ll be able to stop chemotherapy. We do not know how long Hannah will be doing chemotherapy for as the oncologist wants to make sure all of the cancer cells are completely gone but she will start with 6 cycles and we’ll go from there. She will also have her regular labs and scans as necessary so hopefully we will hear something from disability soon as we’re still fighting for that. As for now we just continue to fill out financial assistance forms so our Hannah can continue treatment to beat this cancer! Thank you to everyone who has donated to her go fund me or helped in any way as we navigate through everything. I also wanted to thank everyone for the prayers and love you all have shown for our Hannah.

Hannah is out of surgery and in recovery!! She did great throughout surgery and the doctor is pleased. We were told they did not have to take her spleen!! After the doctor got in to Hannah’s abdomen he located the tumor inbetween her peritoneal and the stomach when the tumor was removed everything went where it was supposed to go as the tumor had a lot of inflammation of the fat surrounding the stomach so it was bunched up together making the tumor look bigger than it really was on scans. He also found cancer in her pelvic area that he took out and burned. Hannah will have to have chemotherapy as the cancer was not localized and when she has post op in July the doctor will have her treatment planned.
Thank you everyone for the prayers and support of our sweet Hannah! God is good!!

Hello everyone I hope all is good as we have an update on our Hannah!

The last update that was posted we were blessed with news that Hannah would get to have her scans and she did her scans! We waited for a few days on the results from scans and blood work. Blood work showed her tumor markers doubled within 27 days apart from each blood work labs. Scans showed a 2.4 cm lesion (cancer) on Hannah’s spleen. Her oncologist called this past Tuesday and talked to us about scans and what was found then he told us Hannah will have surgery to remove her spleen on June 19th as he couldn’t see a way to save her spleen. After surgery everything will be sent to be biopsied which will take about two weeks to get results back to identify exactly what type of cancer this is. Please pray for Hannah as she will be having yet another surgery and that recovery will be fast with minimal pain.
Once we get the biopsy results back we should know what the treatment plan is for our Hannah and we will update everyone. Thank you everyone who has helped, donated, prayed and loved our girl. We are forever grateful!
